DAYS SEEMED TO MIX HERE. perhaps it was because no one visited her, perhaps it was because diana's fatal flaw was the fact she got bored easily, or maybe it's because she wasn't sure how long it'd been since she'd arrived.

it could've been hours--though she doubted that--, days, weeks, even months. either way, she hadn't been outside in a while. well, she was being slightly dramatic. it had been about five days, and based on the moon, diana was sure she was correct.

it was starting to affect her, she was sure she would've gone crazy had there not been a window.

the pain in her chest dulled however, the stinging became more of an ache that wouldn't leave. it hardly bothered her anymore, considering she spent most of her time reading, doing her cheer routine, or watching the single daisy that she seemed connected to.

diana didn't know why but the daisy resonated with her. and as her brown eyes watched it, her lips curled down into a frown. the daisy seemed to be unhealthy like no one had gardened it in a while. she didn't know how it had lived that long. as far as she knew, daisy's only lived about ten days. but diana wasn't complaining because it seemed the daisy was the only one with her. though it was far away, it seemed to comfort her.

it was beautiful and diana couldn't help but smile and thank the gods she had a chance to see it before it died. the black-haired girl only hoped that it would continue to grow.

her head shot up as she had an idea. was it any good? no. she doubted it would even work but she had-- needed to try. she needed to see the daisy, to feel it. to feel the petals under her fingers as she tried to gently nurture it back to full health.

diana played numbly with her hair, a smile dancing on her lips as she waited for a vampire to bring her lunch. it had only taken a few hours, and as the door opened, she perked up. the vampire set the tray down and headed to leave but diana caught them with a "wait!"

the vampire paused in his tracks, turning around. "yes?" diana wasn't familiar with him, but she assumed he was of high ranking considering his posture. he held himself like he knew he was powerful-- and she was sure he was.

"can i please speak to your.." she paused, diana wasn't sure what to call them, but to be respectful, she finished. "kings?"

demetri pursed his lips, in thought. the human was confusing him, but as his supernatural eyes zoomed into the small bags under her eyes that only one of his kind could see, he took pity on her. sighing, the dirty blonde vampire nodded. "follow me."

diana jumped up in mild shock but didn't hesitate to follow him out the door. her lips parted in surprise as she took in the castle and its paintings. she knew that the castle was big, but it seemed like she had majorly underestimated the size. almost as though he could read her mind, the guard next to her painted a coy smirk on his face.

diana nervously wrung her hands together, pretending to scribble on her hands. as they approached the throne room, demetri noted hor her posture immediately straightened up, her teeth that had her lip tucked in released and her face became blank. to any human, they'd assume her to be perfectly fine, but the vampire could still see the way her eyes darted nervously around, the way her hands twitched to grab her arm. the door opened, the kings perking up as they felt their soulmate's presence.

"masters," demetri started. diana shifted on her legs as demetri spoke, trying to keep her eyes anywhere but the kings, especially caius. "our guest has something to ask of you."

"well then? what is it?" aro grinned like a cheshire cat at her.

diana's breath caught in her throat as she forced the lump down. her voice was quiet and slightly breathless as it came out. "um... i was wondering if i'd be allowed out of my room?"

aro grinned again like he had been waiting for her to ask this. he sighed, his hands rubbing together as he thought things out. finally, after a minute of tense silence filled with marcus not even bothering to look at her and caius glaring at her, aro looked back at her.

"of course my dear. we've been such bad hosts, haven't we?" caius smirked down at her, diana smiling slightly--though unwillingly. she supposed it was just the bond. marcus dared spare her a glance, his lips twitching up slightly as he watched the human shyly look away.

"demetri will be your guard. he will take you where you wish to go, bring you your food, and watch over you," caius spoke up, irrupting the silence.

diana gulped, avoiding eye contact because she knew that if she looked at him, the pain would shine through her eyes. she hadn't forgotten-- how could she when the vampire and his wife seemed to go through the gardens every day?

"thank you," she nodded as demetri led her out.

"we are going to utterly destroy that girl." was the last thing she heard before she was out the door and demetri took her mind off what she heard.

"so where do you plan on going, human?"

"can we please go to the gardens?" she couldn't contain her excitement any longer, bouncing on her heels. she felt like a kid going to the pool.

"of course," the tracker smirked, leading her to a set of beautiful glass doors. diana gaped slightly at the sight of the green hedges, and flowers lining the green trees.

"it's beautiful." diana gasped out, smiling gleefully. she hadn't been this happy in a while. it made up for the two weeks spent trapped in her room.

as she approached the daisy, she couldn't help her curiosity from growing. the daisy seemed healthier than before. diana rubbed her eyes, trying to tell if she was going crazy. surely a daisy couldn't become that healthy within two hours? it wasn't fully healthy, but it perked up more, the petals becoming whiter and even standing slightly taller. still, though, the human leaned down with a small smile on her face and the ache in her heart fading slightly.

the daisy was beautiful up close, a treasure she swore to protect.
