Maharani Brahmavani walked up to the centre stage of the courtyard as all eyes turned to her.

"Sharadapeeth ke Maha-Shaashtraath mei aap sabhi ka swagat hai. Kashmirpur aapki upasthiti ka sadev hrini rahega." Brahmavani said.

She continued to give instructions as to how everyone interested to participate would be divided into two teams, one with Shardapeeth while another will consist of people who came here to defeat Shardapeeth in debate.

She then went on to tell about under which one team would loose points.

"Aur mai aaj ke Maha-Shaashtraath ke hetu Bhagwaan Parshuram se anurodh karti hu ki woh Nirnayak ki upadhi swikar kare

"Aur mai aaj ke Maha-Shaashtraath ke hetu Bhagwaan Parshuram se anurodh karti hu ki woh Nirnayak ki upadhi swikar kare. Hey Prabhu, aapse gyaani yaha koi nahi." Brahmavani requested.

"Awashya." Bhagwaan Parshuram said.

He walked towards the high seat of the judge and sat down while all the participants sat in two groups one who wished to have a knowledgeable debate on one side while others who wish to defeat Shardapeeth on the other side.

Bhargav being the nephew of Maharani Brahmavani, decided to choose the side of Shardapeeth. He sat on the empty place beside Vedavati.

"Pranaam." Both Shree and Shreeshaktiswar greeted each other.

Maharani Brahmavani went and sat on the throne beside Maharaj Gyaansagar as little Vidyashree excitedly looked at the debate that was about to start.

"Maha-Shaashtraath praarambh ho !" Parshuram said.

A proud looking pandit on the side against Shardapeeth stood up with his head high and joined his hand first in front of Parshuram and then in front of the royals sitting on the throne.

"Aap sabhi ko mera naman. Mai Shardapeeth ke oor se baithe sabhi gyaaniyo ko yeh chunauti deta hu ki woh humare prashno ke uttar de." The Pandit said.

"Puchiye." Maharishi Kushadhawaj said from the side of Shardapeeth.

"Aisi kaunsi vastu hai jiska koi annt nahi ?" The Pandit asked.

"Gyaan." Vedavati said.

"So toh hai kintu iss prashn ka uttar hai kaamna." Pandit said and Vedavati frowned.

'Sahi uttar toh tha.' Vidyashree thought, same thing went in the mind of Bhargav and Brahmavani.

"Ab yeh batayiye ki aisi kaunsi kaamna hai jiska kabhi annt nahi hota ?" The Pandit asked.

"Mahodaye, kisi bhi prakar ki kaamna ka koi annt nahi hota." Bhargav said.

"Jis kaamna ka kabhi annt nahi ho sakta woh hai ishwar mei samaane ki kaamna. Ab mera tritya prashn suniye." The Pandit said.

"Puchiye." Vedavati said.

And so on the side against Shardapeeth kept asking questions but refused to accept the answers given by the other side, even though both answers would be equally correct.

"Bhagwaan Parshuram, saamne wala paksh toh humare ek bhi prashn ka uttar nahi de paaye. Ab aap hume is Maha-Shaashtraath ke vijayi ghosit kar dijiye." One of them said.

"Hastakshep karne hetu kshama chaahti hu kintu kya yeh Shaashtraath tha ya kisi vidyalay ki pariksha ?" Vidyashree interrupted.

"Tatparya ?" A Pandita asked.

"Tatparya yeh ki prashn bhi aapke aur uttar bhi aapke ? Yeh toh pariksha huyi. Shaashtraath nahi. Sharadapeeth ki oor se baithe sabhi gyaaniyo ne uchit uttar diye the, kintu aapne unhe swikar nahi kiya." Vidyashree said.

"Toh ab ek baalika se hume seekh leni padegi ? Rajkumari, aapke paas gyaan hai ki kitna jo aap hume galat thehera rahi hai ?" Another scholar said.

"Uchit hai. Nirnayak Bhagwaan Parshuram ki aagya ho toh mai Shardapeeth ki oor se iss Maha-Shaashtraath mei samellit hoke apne gyaan ka pradarshan karna chahungi." Vidyashree humbly requested.

"Aagya hai." Parshuram smiled.
