Steve faked as if he was barely going to go check up on the kids after 'washing the plates'. He walked over and stood in front of the couch. Looking down at the fake-sleeping Billy. Steve grinned to himself. He just couldn't believe 'The' Billy Hargrove Was so adorable. He wanted to fake as if he didn't like the kids. But Steve knew there was a reason Billy hadn't pushed them away the night before. And he definitely knew there was a reason that Billy even placed two pillows to keep El and Max comfortable. It was so adorable, and Steve loved it. Steve huffed and walked away. He could see Billy shift once he must've thought Steve couldn't see him. God, Steve couldn't think Billy could get anymore adorable.
Steve shook his head while he walked back to Dustin who had a big, amused grin on his face. "Do you want to wake them up?" Dustin asked up to Steve. Steve shrugged "... I kind of just want to wake up Billy" Steve whispered.
Dustin gave a look to Steve and slowly grinned "Why just Billy?" Dustin raised his eyebrow at Steve. Steve cleared his throat and quickly defended himself. "I don't want to wake up the rest of the party, okay? It's nothing specific about Billy. He could help me make breakfast too" Steve rambled on. A habit he had when he got defensive. Dustin sighed and nodded "Yeah. Sure. Go ahead, go wake him up" Dustin nodded towards Billy.
Steve walked back to the living room and could see Billy stiffen up when his footsteps were heard. Cute.
Steve got on his knees in between of Billy's open legs and he could've sworn he saw a small blush on Billy's face. "Billy. Wake up" Steve shook Billy's shoulder gently. Billy's curls brushing against Steve's hand slightly. Steve had a small smile on. "C'mon. I need you to help me make breakfast" Steve nudged Billy's hair away from his hand. Slowly, Billy opened his eyes. Steve huffed, knowing well that Billy was already awake. But Billy really wanted to keep the act going huh? But as much as he wanted to, Steve couldn't get the happy grin on his face to get away..... not like he wanted it away though. "The hell are you doing Harrington?" Billy whispered to Steve, nudging Steve's hand away from his shoulder. "Waking you up, what else does it look like?" Steve sarcastically said. So moody, Billy thought. Billy looked down at their little position. It wasn't anything special but just the thought of having Steve between his legs made him embarrassed. As stupid as it sounded. Billy looked back up and found Steve grinning down at him. He raised an eyebrow at Steve "get off of me you brat" he frowned at Steve. Though that grin wouldn't go away. Making Billy only grown more. "How was being the babysitter yesterday?" Steve tilted his head to the side slightly. Looking over Billy to look at the kids. His eyes landed on Will and Mike. Mike's head was over Will's and Mike's arms was loosely wrapped around Will's shoulders. It was cute. Steve nodded up a them and Billy looked over his shoulder. He couldn't help but copy Steve's smile when he spotted the two boys. (Guys, we're gonna pretend Mike and El were never a thing. Okay? They are just very, very good friends. Yeah... just friendship and I might make El and Max a thing but I'm not sure.) "don't tell me that doesn't make you smile? It's adorable" Steve made a small cooing sound as he stared at the two sleeping boys. Billy stayed silent and bit his lip. "It's cute" he shrugged. Looking down at the small carpet he was on. Steve got up and started to walk towards the kitchen again. Spotting Dustin with a knowing grin.
"Come on Billy, you're gonna make pancakes because I don't like waffles and it's all they have here" Steve looked behind his shoulder and at Billy. Billy scoffed "why me? I only babysat the kids because you felt bad-" "you're doing it Hargrove."Steve snapped. His glare even made Dustin get rid of his grin. Billy raised his eyebrows at Steve "okay Mr.Harrington of course I'll make pancakes" Billy walked to the kitchen and spotted Dustin. He huffed. He thought it would only be him and Steve. "Good morning Billy!" Dustin smiled up at the older boy. Billy just huffed and nodded towards Dustin "mornin' brat. How many pancakes does everyone eat?" Billy leaned against the counter. "Uh... three per person? But El likes waffles so if you could make her those instead I think she'd like that a lot" Dustin smiled at Billy ignoring Billy's glare. "Alright, one pancake per person it is. And a waffle" Billy grunted. Steve sighed "Billy" he glared at the other boy again. Billy groaned like a little kid "fine. Three pancakes per person and three waffles, jeez" Billy started to get out the flour and everything he needed to make the batter.
Steve reached up and patted Billy's back. His hand brushed his hair slightly "thanks Billy" he smiled up at him and he saw the same blush from earlier slightly appear on Billy's face. Steve liked it. Steve liked it a lot. Steve walked back to the fridge and leaned against it. Dustin grinned up at him. "What?" Steve raised his eyebrow at Dustin. "... Nothing... nothing " he kept the grin that only made Steve huff. "We better start waking up the others. " Dustin whispered to Steve. Steve didn't say anything. Instead he reached down and grabbed the camera they had used earlier.
"Actually... I want to take another photo for blackmail..." Steve grinned and walked back up to the living room. Standing in front of Mike and Will.
(Over 700 reads!!! So close to 1k! I still can't believe it but... seriously... thank you. This book will contain Byler and probably will contain Elmax. I'm not completely sure about Elmax but it might happen. And when the time comes with Robin and Nancy I might add Ronance. By then everyone will be gay so to balance it I might not add Ronance. Though I really like the ship. I'm not sure, I've gotta see how everything settles before seeing what other ships I might add. Also I might make a Steddie book, Byler, or Joshler. Big, big fan of Joshler so I might write that first. Or Steddie. I'm not sure. Well, thank you again! I love you all and have a great day/night :D
Also, Ducks are neat. Like... they eat bread. And swim. And go quack. That's really neat)
