◤CHAPTER FIFTEEN◥ ( November 6th, 1983 )
NANCY LED THE way as the group made their trek to the Wheeler residence, she opened the front door and they all slowly and cautiously made their way inside of the home as the Wheeler girl closed the front door behind her. Steve's one flashlight lit up the way of the pitch black home, she saw vines tangled on household objects as far as they eye could see as she glanced around at all of their surroundings.
She held in a gag when she saw one of the vines slithering nearby, she really hated the fact that pretty much everything in this place was basically alive.
"Might be time to get a maid, Wheeler." Robin dared to joke, trying to find some light in this very dark situation as she does when she's freaked out.
"Come on." Nancy told them, "I don't wanna stay here longer than we have to."
Nobody disagreed as they rushed up the staircase, making their way to the girl's bedroom where she promised they would find ammunition. But when they got to her room and she checked a box she pulled out of closet, there was nothing like firearms inside of it at all.
"Those aren't guns." Eddie stated.
"Those heels are a bit pointy but I was hoping for something along the lines of a deadly projectile." Robin uttered beside her.
Della hung her head, "Please don't tell me we came all this way for a pair of heels."
"I don't understand." Nancy murmured in confusion.
"Maybe you left them somewhere else." Eddie suggested.
"There's a six-year-old in the house." Nancy spoke sharply, "I know where I keep my guns. And also, I threw these away years ago." She falls silent as she grabs a stack of notecards, Della looks closely and sees some science questions and for some reason, she recognizes them.
"Hang on, let me some of those." Nancy hands a few to Della and she reads the words on them, and suddenly her cogs in her brain start spinning and she remembers all the answers to the questions on the cards. "What the hell?" She murmurs to herself, why are flashcards from Sophomore year still in Nancy's bedroom? Wouldn't she have thrown those out?
