louis and i went around london for hours. we started at 2:30 and we came back home at 5:46.

he took me to big ben, buckingham palace, and we even went on the london eye.

i never thought we would get this close so quick. i mean, i just met him....

right?

~

"when did you guys move here?" i ask as we are in the car driving to the restaurant we were at earlier so i can get my own car.

"my parents moved here a year after i was born." he responds.

then it clicks.

"louis." i say

"yeah?"

"no, no, no. your name was similar to me earlier. i remember now. i came here every year until i was 7. and our parents were, and i think still are, friends. best friends in fact. we used to hang out. all. the. time. don't you remember?" i gasp.

"so that was you. i knew it! i asked issie and she said she wasn't sure but i knew it." he says.

there's an awkward silence after he says that.

say something y/n, it's really awkward.

"anyway, you wanna come round for dinner? my mums making tacos, and she would probably love to see you after all this time." he smiles at me.

"i would love to, but i can't. i promised ari i'd go to dinner with her and a friend of hers. she asked me to bring someone but i don't know who-" i look at him.

"wha- no. if your thinking what i'm thinking i can't intrude on your dinner with your sister. that is so... not polite?" he questions himself.

"please?" i say.

i look at him with puppy. that is a special ability i have. manipulation. he looks at me once and looks like he might say yes.

"pretty please?" i say again.

"yeah, yeah, whatever. when is it? and how should i dress? im very panicky over these things." he smiles

we pull into the car park where my car is and i step out.

"i'll text you." i bite my bottom lip and give him a wink. he rolls his eyes, then gives me a smile before honking and leaving.

this boy.

~

i texted louis an hour ago and he told me he was getting ready. ari agreed to us picking him up and dropping him off so i also told him that.

i was struggling to pick out something to wear and finally decided on my usual. a long sleeved, tight dark red dress. even though ari told me to dress differently i wore the same 4 year old dress.

you see, i haven't grown since i was 14.

i haven't gained weight, haven't grown taller, my feet haven't even changed size. i have been 5'2 for ages, and let me tell you this:

it's not good having tall friends and being short yourself. they are always mocking you.

and i mean,

always.

~

i downstairs to see ari waiting with louis, and as i walk down, louis gives me a look.

a special look.

i have been looked at by boys, but i have never received this one look.
