THE OTHERS RAN INTO the basement, pausing upon seeing Hope bent down beside Tracy's dead body, Malia standing behind her.

Malia turned around at the sound of footsteps, the girl glancing between each person quickly. "It wasn't me." She stated, shaking her head. "It wasn't Hope either."

Lizzie walked toward the short haired girl, pulling her into a hug.

"What the hell happened to her?" Noah frowned as Scott and Deaton approached Tracy.

"There were these people..." Malia started shakily as her and Lizzie pulled away, her cheeks stained with tears as she looked between Scott, Lizzie, Isaac, and Stiles. "They had masks. Um, there were — there were three of them. I think there were three of them. I — there were three."

"What?" Scott asked, brows furrowed, "slow down, what are you talking about?"

Hope stood up from crouching beside Tracy, and rubbed Malia's arm gently. "She told me that she stopped fighting Tracy because the girl seemed to have been kicked out of a trance, and then these three guys in masks appeared out of nowhere. One slammed her against the wall while another injected something into Tracy which killed her."

Lizzie nodded slowly, making eye contact with the were-coyote. "I believe you, Mal."

"She's not changing back." Deaton frowned as he examined Tracy. "We're gonna need to get her out of here."

"What? Hey, absolutely not." Noah frowned, objecting to Deaton's words. "This is a crime scene. We're gonna call the coroner."

"I think the coroner might be very confused by this girl's severed reptilian tail," Deaton responded calmly, glancing at Noah.

"I don't care!" Noah exclaimed with a frown, eyes narrowed.

"You should," Deaton spoke with raised eyebrows. "Unless you're prepared to hold a press conference announcing the presence of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills."

Noah didn't say anything as he glanced away.

"Noah, he's right," Hope stated, looking the older man in the eyes, knowing that he will listen to her. "How about we take her to the clinic, figure out how to fix this, and then call the coroner?" She suggested when she noticed that he was barely budging.

"There — there's a line that we have to draw," Noah started, the man beginning to pace around.

"Dad, you've already crossed it. More than once," Stiles stated as he walked over to Hope, pulling her into his body with one arm around her shoulders, kissing the crown of her head.
