(Blue POV)

"Hurry up Blue!" Ma yelled from the livingroom

"You gave me 10 freaking minutes to get ready!" I yell back from my room "You could've told me yesterday that I was coming to the workshop!"

"I didn't know yesterday!" I roll my eyes, lacing up my shoes and sitting in my wheelchair. When I get out to my parents, Iggy and Tracey, along with Tracey's friend Mally as well as a human Katie were waiting

"So you're telling me, you couldn't have told me yesterday about going out, but you told people who aren't even in our pack?" I say, mugging my parents

"Stop complaining and move your ass" Mum groaned "The others have already left"

Since Mally approached my parents with helping out at her workshop, they've been going everyday for a while....needless to say, they've taken over

Mally's okay with that as well. She said the kids are really receptive towards my parents and with a better budget, it's no longer just a new coat of paint or making it look better, it's about completely redesigning the whole chair

I follow behind as we make our way out of the house. I roll onto my lift and Mum brings me up into the van. Once the doors are shut, Iggy and Tracey sit in the two available seats next to me "This is so exciting" Tracey grins "I don't even know what we're doing"

My parents laugh in the front seats and Ma starts driving "We're just finishing up a few things to do with a couple of kids in our 'Pimp my wheels' workshop" Mum explains, looking over her shoulder at us "All of their wheelchairs should be finished, but we like to make sure, and I think the kids want to show them off"

"So are these children like....um....do they pay to be in your program?" Iggy asked

"They don't pay for anything" Ma answers "We provide everything for them now. Most of these children can't even afford a decent chair, or even ramps in their homes, whilst others can, but don't have access to the resources we do. We try our best to not pick and choose, we just accept. The waiting list has about 400 names at the moment, but a few years ago, it was over a thousand. Mally really went above and beyond with these kids"

"How can you afford to do it?" Tracey asked

"Mally used to get the money from donations" Mum responds "But we've brought a bigger budget"

"I sell a few of my designs we create in the workshop" Ma smiles "It's a lucrative business if you know the right people" She shrugs "I've designed medical equipment as well, which are being used all over the world"

"Ma designed the mechanical lungs" I tell her "People needing lung transplants don't have the fear of waiting anymore. They can breath easy for atleast 50 years before they need to be changed, and you wouldn't even know they had it just by looking at them, they fit just like normal lungs"

"That's incredible" My blonde mate gasps

"All we want to do is make life easier for those who have too struggle" Mum says "Considering we're basically immortal, we have a lot of years of knowledge and know-how to work with"

"You know that prosthetic arm that was on the news?" I ask my mates

"The one where the person can feel with the tips of the robotic finger?" Iggy gasped wide eyed
