𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑: 𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬

                                    

                                          
𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 no one dared to speak, y/n was just looking down as they walk back to where Steve and the others is. Once they met even they can notice something happened but decided not to ask, Steve made them stayed in the village from where they evacuated, some people that were still awake volunteered to help treat their wounds and so they did. Ranboo was still up and waited form them, he wanted to know what happen same as Steve and Alex so they asked Wilbur who only mouthed "later" while using his eyes to point to his room where they can talk privately. 
The person that hit Skeppy's death deep was Bad of course, both of them were always together from they first joined the game, keeping each other safe and baking muffins. Now that he's gone, he doesn't have anyone else or does he? 
It was Midnight when Wilbur told them what happened, Ranboo was trying so hard not to cry and he almost failed if Wilbur didn't calm him down. Still they can't believe that he was gone and Steve was guilty even Alex too, they should have stayed to help them..but they didn't and now that guilt would be something they can't erased.
Each of them have a room for themselves so they can get a good sleep, except for Bad who couldn't sleep even if he tried and I'm sure he isn't the only one. Some of them were just laying in their bed staring in the ceiling trying to process everything that happened, some were tying to clear their head but failed, some cried to sleep, and some blame their selves for what happened. Blaming yourself won't do anything, even burrying the memory of what happened in the deepest corner of your brain, you know that you'll still not forget.

𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐘 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, a newly cooked fresh food is already in the table with a note beside it that says "alex made these food for all of you, hope you're all doing good. I will be going there in the afternoon to talk about something, I'm really sorry about what happened. - steve" 
Philza puts down the note, taking the food cover off revealing scrambled and sunny side eggs, hotdogs and some bread. He looked outside the window, it was still raining and it was quite foggy making it harder to see from afar. He quickly prepared some plates and utensils before going upstairs checking to see if anyone's awake until he bumped into Bad who looked like he didn't get any sleep at all, he tried to make conversation but Bad instantly shut it down which made Philza shocked but he understood it and let him be.
He made his way first to Wilbur's room and knocked on the door waiting for a few seconds, the door opened making a creaking sound Techno was the one infront of the door. Philza opened it wide to see that Tommy, Ranboo, Tubbo and Wilbur were already awake probably sharing what happened. He told them that breakfast is ready and that Bad  was already eating by himself, they nodded before Philza left checking the other rooms. 
Niki and Y/n shared a room and were still fast asleep same with the Dream Team and Schlatt, Quackity was already up going downstairs following the others to eat. Bad was already gone not in his room and didn't left a note, Philza would have gone after him but Techno told him not to and that he needed some time alone by himself. The others that were late to wake up soon came down to eat, they talked for a little bit except for y/n who didn't talked to anyone at all even Niki, yes they shared a room but Niki knew that y/n will tell her once she's ready. 
A knock on the door caused the others to stop whatever they were doing, Tubbo opened the door showing Steve holding Alex hand and Bad behind them.

Steve POV
I waited for the person Infront of me to open the door wide, but he seems distracted? I cleared my throat "uh well hello there, can we come in?" "Oh right of course!" he says opening the door "Steve you're here early.." Philza says "uh yes sorry about that, I decided to visit early since we have something to do later." I said Philza nodded gesturing for me and the others to sit, "should I tell the others to give us some privacy or?" he asked, I shake my head "no, no I think it would be better if they listen with you" he nodded before telling the others to be quiet and listen. 
"I have come here to say that I am very sorry about what happened I- we should've stayed and researched more about what the book really is and what it contained, I didn't really know that it would be like that. I know that saying sorry won't do anything so all I can do is give him a proper funeral and again I'm really sorry especially to- you Bad," I said.
"I know, you've said that many times Steve, Its not your fault I'm already grateful for what you're gonna do." Bad says
I told the others where the funeral will be held and that it'll be tomorrow, so we have enough time to prepare since it isn't going to be grand or anything and it was only their friends that are going. I stayed there for a bit talking with the others, the tension seems to be almost gone Bad was talking with the others like he's back to himself again. Alex told me that when he found him he was just sitting near a pond staring at his reflection in the water, before taking a sit beside him making small talks. Alex is the best person that I know at comforting someone since she felt what it was like but not to a person but a pet that she have, before she even met me. 
Whatever she said to him clearly made him feel better, I hope it did.

Y/N POV
While the others were busy doing something for the funeral, I decided to go where I found a flower forest. It didn't take too long for me to get there since I can just fly so I did, I sat there for a bit gazing at the sky it's almost afternoon I better hurry back after I'm done. I grab a couple of flowers mostly Lilies, when a sudden breeze of wind made me drop a one, as I was about to pick it up I noticed that a bookmark is beside it. It was the same bookmark in the book, how did it get here? 
I both picked it up turning over the bookmark to read "A Life for a Life" it made me angry, if I could've just got it before it flew away this would have never happened. I rip the bookmark apart letting the pieces of paper fall to the ground before going back to the house, obviously in a bad mood that I didn't noticed Niki was infront of me making me bump into her.
"OW!" We both said falling to the ground, "shit sorry Niki" I said standing up and lending her a hand. "Its fine why are you in such a hurry anyway?" she asked, "nothing just going back to the house" I said while picking up the flowers before I could go she catch hold of my arm making me look at her and wrapping me into a hug that made me startled a bit. "Y/n if you're ready to talk, I'm here okay? Please stop blaming yourself for what happened." she says "I'm sorry for ignoring you Niki, I just need a little more time" I said rubbing her back. 
We were just standing there hugging each other for a minute before Niki finally let go giving me a nod, I gave her one of the flowers that I picked my favorite dandelions before spreading my wings going back to the house.
