Sorry I'm late, I had to watch every movie in The Fox and the Hound, Brother Bear, and Hercules franchises, except Zero to Hero isn't on Disney so not that one. I would give a score on a scale from The Fox in the Hound 2 to The Fox and the Hound, but unfortunately The Last Jedi doesn't fit on that scale.

Poe's yo mama joke was funny and I won't listen to anyone that says differently. Like last time, the opening scene is pretty solid, and I think Poe and BB-8 are the common denominator here. [Later edit: Blake is wondering why the heck the First Order was shooting at the empty base with resources and data in it, instead of the ships. This is a valid question and I'm including it.]

Anyone who knows me is aware of my love for villains who are just horrible pathetic little men, so Hux really entertains me in this movie.

Love the porgs. The porgs are good. While we're on the subject, the fathiers and vulpices were cool too. Rian made a mess of everything, but he also filled the Galaxy with cool Pokémon so that's one point to him.

I like the scene where Leia senses Kylo and thinks he fired on her. It really makes sense for their arc. Her theme is beautiful. I also didn't hate the scene where she flew in space, as much as I'm a heretic for saying it. Kanan flew in space when Maul chucked him off the ship, so we know it's possible. I've always wanted to see Leia use her powers. And the silent shot where Poe sees her is cool.

R2 using Leia's hologram to persuade Luke was also beautiful. R2 may be the only OT character who's not disrespected in the Disney Trilogy (though he's barely in it so maybe not). Wedge and Nien would qualify too.

The Force Skyping... is pretty cool, actually. The explanation that Snoke did it didn't really make sense, and the Dyad thing makes even less (but the Force is broken so that's explainable). I just really like those scenes, and their atmosphere, and how they tell us a little more about Kylo. The shirtless one was funny.

I'd been waiting for a force ghost to show up, and I wanted it to be Anakin, but seeing Yoda was nice in theaters. It does raise the question of how ghosts can affect the physical world, and why they don't ever do that.

I also kinda like that Chewbacca was apparently onboard with Rey's stupid plan? I think realistically it's because he's just a prop in this story, but I charitably imagine that he misses Ben and wants to bring the Skywalkers back together. [I wrote this assuming time had passed, but Blake has pointed out to me that he tried to kill Kylo like two days prior. This is another excellent point.]

The mutiny was cool and cathartic. Poe is probably dumb but it was still fun to watch.

Smoke's death was awesome, probably the best part of the movie. I also thought the throneroom battle was cool, though if you actually look at the choreography, everyone is kinda just flailing around to give the appearance of motion. The part where he catches the lightsaber is fun.

"You're wrong."
"Maybe."

Rey Nobody was good, but it gets no points because it was replaced by the stupidest possible story with no explanation.

Holdo Maneuver had a lot of problems, not least of which was Holdo herself, but it was visually stunning and you know it.

Crait was cool. Kylo's incoherent rage on Crait was hilarious.

Luke and Leia's reunion was well-needed. We never really got to see much of their relationship as siblings, so this felt good to see. I also like the shot after they shoot at Luke where Kylo pops up in the viewport like a prairie dog.

Broom Boy would have been a great ending to a better movie.
