Hours passed as evening swiftly struck.Reiner kissed you on the cheek after walking you back to your room, leaving you with conflicting emotions of everything that had happened: you knew it was wrong to have compared him to someone else, but the thoughts stayed persistent.
However, aside from the awkward kiss, your time together went really well: you talked and joked throughout the entirety of the movie, so much to the point that you could barely remember the plot.

The next day swiftly arrived as you once again entered your English Class, except, this time: you were the one who was late.
The Professor gave you a confused glance, before excusing you when you apologised since you were normally the first person there.
You awkwardly walked towards the back of the classroom with your fingers tightly clasping into the strap of your bag. Your footsteps echoed in the silence of the room as your peers glanced in your direction.
Your eyes refused to meet with Connie's as you sat yourself down beside him, readying yourself for the slow-paced lesson in front of you.
You sighed as the boy beside you leaned back, his muscular arms crossing over his black shirt: "Tardiness is not a good look on you." He tutted sarcastically.
Your eyes rolled with a faint hint of a smirk, "That's rich coming from you. I'm surprised that you actually turned up today after missing three entire weeks."
"Oh, come on; you weren't hoping that I would skip today, right?" A gentle laugh briefly struck his face, before noticing the awkwardness in your expression. He sighed sharply, "Heh, never mind. Don't answer that."
You lowered your head with slight guilt over the fact that you were acting so cold towards him.
Connie leant his arm forward to flicker towards the next page of the powerpoint on his screen: his hazel eyes subtly locked onto your side-profile from the corner of his vision, "So, how are you?"
Your brow raised, "I'd be doing a lot better if you'd let me concentrate on this lecture."
He stayed quiet.
Your brow raised instantly as you heard the rustle of his clothes: "Cold." He frowned with a genuine sad look in his eyes: "You're breaking my heart Y/N."
Your expression completely softened. Just for a second, or maybe even less than that,
he looked hurt.
Connie's eyebrows were furrowed downwards, yet he didn't seem agitated. The tip of his soft lips was slightly curved down and his eyes were soft and hazy. His cheeks were relaxed, yet still twitching with his frowning lips. His expression was soft.
However, just as quickly as he'd allowed such an expression to curse his face, he swapped it for his usual, beaming demeanour.
Guilt filled your blood at the thought of upsetting him. You knew that you were acting cold: you were well-aware, but you just couldn't allow yourself to become so distracted by the boy beside you when your focus should've been on your future after you passed this class.
