Jimin's POV
"1, 2, 3. . smile!"
"Look, uncle!"
"Fireflies!"

.
"C-come here. L-let's go back, shall we? The others must be worried that we're not there."
"KHALISEE!!!"
"Uncle!"
"Shh. Close your eyes, Issy."
"JIMIN!"
"Jungkook, NO!"
"Jungkook. . . get away from Jimin. You wouldn't want to hurt him, I swear."
"You don't know what you're doing."
The last thing I felt was the cold wind brushing my tears away and chilling my body to the core as the wolf brought me farther and farther. Everything was dark and blurry when my tired eyes finally gave up and closed.

Run.
Was what I did the moment I opened my eyes and realized where I was.
It's the only thing I can do right now. I ran as fast as I could, wherever my feet could take me. I just wanted to get away, to forget and rewrite what happened yesterday the moment Taehyung suggested having a midnight camp in the forest.
I woke up on the beach alone and the wolf was nowhere in sight. My eyes searched everywhere for that recognizable monstrous form and pitch-black fur. I wanted to make sure it was gone before I ran and escaped. I never looked back after.
I passed through towering trees, bushes, and rocks, I even tripped a few times from twigs. But I carried on. I wanted to stop to catch my breath, even just for a second or three. Just to calm down my heart that almost made me deaf from repeatedly hearing it pounding in my chest.
And I did.
Which was a mistake.
Because seconds after I pulled up, the pitch-black wolf instantly appeared in front of me. My eyes widened and I was startled to see the wolf in front of me. It appeared out of nowhere as if it knew I was here, as if it knew I was going to escape that place.
But I didn't even hear its steps?! How is it possible that it knows where I am that fast?!
Then I realized. Oh, of course. It's a wolf. It can track me down within seconds which basically eliminates all possibilities of escape.
I looked up and choked back on my tears when I saw its eyes cast down on me. Those pair of crimson golden eyes pierced through my soul. I don't like it. I hate how it makes me feel like I was being read. I felt as if my moves were being carefully observed and studied, reading my mind and my next obvious moves.
The wolf began approaching me slowly, its eyes still locked on me. I backed away, slower. I didn't want to upset this monster. If it spared my life while I was asleep, maybe it will spare my life again if I just move cautiously.
I tried to calm myself down so as to stop my body from trembling so much. I locked my eyes on its eyes and backed away.
The heel of my shoe hit a rock and I almost outbalanced myself, using my other foot to balance myself. The wolf suddenly huffed loudly and my eyes instantly reconnected with those crimson gold pair.
I breathed in deeply as the urge to run flared inside me. But I would be running towards death if I do so. Right now, the wolf is calm and impassive. It's not angry, it's not growling, it's not gritting its teeth, its eyes are not glowering at me, it was just looking at me. Like simple eye contact between two people.
