The band had a break from the studio this week so Remy and Cole decided to spend their day off doing what they do best; getting iced coffee and talking shit.

"Okay, why is Braeden acting so fucking weird," Remy asked, taking a sip of the latte.

"You've noticed it too? I have no clue what is going on with him. I think being back in town has really been messing with his head."  Of course, Cole actually knew but he would never tell Remy that his best friend was secretly in love with her.

She laughed quietly to herself. "Do you think he's going to hit up Jaimie while we're all back?"

Cole cackled loudly. "Honestly, there's nothing Braeden loves more than a woman who wants nothing to do with him, so yea probably." The two of them began uncontrollably laughing, which eventually caused Cole to cry.

"Cole, you cannot do this here we are going to kicked out," Remy said in between laughs. Cole was known for laughing so hard that it caused him to sob. Then the sobbing turned into even louder laughter.

Through tears and laughter Cole still found the strength to flip her off. This caused Remy to laugh even harder. The two decided to leave the establishment before being kicked out. As Remy and Cole were walking through the town, winter jackets zipped all the way up and snow beanies pulled down over their ears, Remy received a text.

Braeden Lemasters

B: REM

B: REMMMMYYYYY

B: REMSTER

R: Yes Braeden.

B: You will never guess who I'm doing dinner and a movie with tonight.

R: Hmmmmm is it Jaimie?

B:YES HOW DID YOU KNOW?

R:Lucky guess.

Looking up from the screen Remy began to cackle. "He is so fucking predictable," Cole said reading over her shoulder. Although this situation was funny, Remy couldn't help but to feel jealous of Jaimie, and Cole felt her mood slightly shift.

"You know he's only hurting himself when he does this, right?" Cole said, slinging his arm around her shoulder.

It was never formally said, but Cole had somehow always known about Remy's feelings for Braeden. As the two quiet observers of the group, they could always see the things others never noticed. And just as Cole knew about her feelings for Braeden without saying anything, Remy knew about his feelings for Genessa.

Genessa was the guitarist for The Regrettes. Remy was always so in awe of her as a musician and genuine human being. Genessa was the person who would give a stranger the shirt off of her back. When they were in high school Wallows and The Regrettes did a gig together at a local bar.  Right before Wallows went out to perform, a person who they are no longer friends with 'accidentally' stepped on the neck of Braeden's guitar, snapping it. Without hesitation Genessa took the strap off of her guitar and  gave it to Braeden.

"You know, you should link up with Genessa while we're back in town," Remy told Cole as they walked to the record store down the road.

"I've thought about it, but what would we do? Go to a gig back at Humble Beginnings?"

"Cole, that is a perfect idea. Go to a gig and get a drink!"

Humble beginnings is their hometown's music hall, where they first started. The two bands had played more shows then they could count on that stage. Without Humble Beginnings there would be no Wallows or Regrettes. It was perfectly named in Remy's opinion.
