Like the milk in my coffee, the creamer in your tea
As the plenty blue green fish that swim in the sea
Like a rainbow-colored sky after a fresh spring rain
As the click-ety clack of the coach rails of the train
If I can tie up all the daisies in the meadow green
If my mind could take a picture of all the things, I've seen
That holds beauty and a memory all together
To file away in my happy day's sweet ledger
Then this is you my hope and my religion
That guides my dreams and all my decisions
Then this is you who dries all my tears
As long as you are near, boy
This is you
Like my red wool coat on snowy winter's mornings
Like my boots and gloves when the sky outside is storming
As the cedar logs burn in the flames to fire
While our song plays late at night out on the wire
All as fitting, all together like a promise
Like the comfort of my grey flannel pyjamas
As sure as the moon will shine this evening
You're in my dreams, you keep my heart beating
Then this is you, my hope and my religion
That guides my dreams and all my decisions
Then this is you who dries all my tears
As long as you are near, boy...
This is you
