Boden calls the crew into the common room at the start of the shift.
 "We work a dangerous job, we all knew that when we signed up, a firefighter dies in the line of duty, we are shocked, our hearts are broken, but in some dark corner of our mind, we are bracing ourself for that possibility, but a firefighter takes her own life? that is not a contingency that we can prepare for" boden explains as he holds jones' helmet, "we can't change what happened, but we can learn from it, we all missed the signs here, and we can never let it happen again, so you reach out to each other, you be there for each other, not just for today, or this week always, I never want to see another member of this family slip through the cracks, let's go to work" boden finishes, "let's go for a ride" kelly instructs squad, "this place isn't so bad, how's it working out for him?" mills asks as the five squad members walk through the hallway of the rehab centre, "I don't know, I haven't checked up on him yet, I've been too busy, Boden's speech got me thinking, Bloom could use some more encouragement right about now" kelly explains as he stops and knocks on the door, "Severide, Carter" capp nods beginning to unbuckle his belt ready to go moon bloom, "seriously?" kelly asks, "cheer him up, come on, Mills" capp crouches elevating his behind, "no, I'll pass" mills shakes his head, kelly laughs, "all right", kelly clears his throat and carter shoves him out the way playfully, "more believable if it's a female voice" carter shrugs kelly shoves carter out the way just like she did to him and knocks the door, "room service!", the door opens and a woman screams causing kelly to march the group to the front desk, "he was supposed to be in 109" kelly says, "well, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but Mr Bloom checked himself out" the nurse explains, "how long did he last?" carter asks, "about 12 hours into a 28-day program, I've seen worse" the nurse shrugs. 
Kelly walks over to the squad table and places the infamous boot down.
"Okay, you guys, pony up, I talked to Bloom's old battalion chief in Denver, and I got an idea how to help him out, first step, we fill up this boot" kelly explains as he drops some money from his money roll in, carter drops a $50, $10 and two $20's in feeling like she needed to reverse the curse after how cold she was with jones, mills, capp and tony pull cash out and capp drops $5 in, "$5, really?" kelly asks, "okay, do you guys know the warehouse fire that derailed Bloom's career?" carter asks taking over from kelly, "yeah, ten guys got killed" mills says, "because of a tough call he had to make" kelly clarifies, "he was the incident commander?" mills asks, "that's right, fire was in the structure, he had to give an order no one else goes in, he made those guys stand there and listen to their brothers dying over the radio, they spit in his face, tried to go around him, he wrestled a few of them to the ground, and that's how he hurt his back, he was trying to protect them, but the way they saw it, he abandoned all those guys inside and got em all killed" kelly explains, shay appears and carter goes over to her wanting to get away from her team, "that is a heavy weight for a man to carry around, don't you think?" kelly asks, capp pulls his wallet open showing its empty, "we can stop by the ATM" kelly offers, capp nods, shay pulls kelly over with the hand that she didn't have wrapped around carter, "hey, I know why you're doing this, but this guy's gonna keep letting you down, you know that, right?" shay asks, "uh-huh" kelly confirms, "but you're gonna try anyway" shay says, "when Jones first arrived at 51, I made it clear that I wasn't someone that she could come to for help, I thought she needed a little tough love and I convinced carter to be cold" kelly explains, "you can't put that on yourself, Kelly" shay warns, "I'm not, I, I didn't know where her head was at, but if bloom goes into a tailspin, I can't claim that I didn't see it coming" kelly berates, shay pushes carter towards him, shay passes kelly a few bills, "let's take a trip" carter suggests quietly.
Squad pull up at bloom's mobile home and the two lieutenants go to investigate, kelly knocks the open door.
"Hey, Bloom, you in there? It's me, Kelly I'm coming in" kelly steps in finding nobody in there, tony honks the horn a few times causing kelly to stick his head out and see bloom running off into the woods as carter prepares to run after him, kelly stops her, "Bloom!" kelly yells, "what the hell? you just sit there and watch him give me the slip?" kelly asks shouting, "what? I honked!" tony shrugs, kelly steps back in and takes the teapot of the gas stove turning it off he takes blooms wallet and scribbles a note on the board before slamming the door. 
The crew pull up at a car accident.
"Casey, Strand, Severide, we have a pin-in in the gray car, get em out" boden instructs, "copy that" matt confirms and the three head for the car eventually freeing the victim as boden gets arrested, "you gotta be kidding me" kelly remarks, matt convinces the officer to let boden out and uncuff him, mills and herrmann get into an argument when the crew get back to 51, "hey, whatever's going on between you two, can you drop it?" kelly asks, "I'll drop it when he apologizes" herrmann spits, "apologize for what? for speaking the truth?" mills yells, "knock it off, both of you" matt instructs, "yeah? he's saying that we made Jones suicidal, and I'm supposed to swallow that?" herrmann asks, "no! no! just own up to your behavior and admit that you could have handled things better!" mills shouts, "how dare you!" herrmann marches towards mills but mouch and kelly stop him, "I was the last one to see her alive! you think I didn't wonder over and over again what I might have done different, what else I might have said that would have changed her mind?" herrmann yells, "Is this what you all took from what I said this morning? Is this really how we're gonna get through this thing?" boden asks, the crew walk into the common room as kelly talks to bloom, "well, I guess I'm gonna get a lecture about skipping out on rehab, let's get it over with" bloom narks, "no, Bloom, I got no more lectures for you" kelly shakes his head, "yeah? then give me my wallet" bloom orders, "just relax, Capp's getting it from my locker" kelly assures, "what are you all lookin' at? what, you need an audience?" bloom asks, carter re-enters the room with capp and walks over to kelly who pulls her into his lap, "you ruined my white board, that was permanent ink" bloom explains, "I'll get you another one" kelly says, orlovsky walks in with two men from blooms house, "screw this" bloom mutters as he stands up, carter blocks him and kelly stands up, "Bloom, just give me one second" kelly snaps, "you are a son of a bitch" bloom snarls at kelly, "it's not like that, Captain" aaron explains as bloom tries to make a break for it, "oh, Captain! Captain, aren't you cute? you can mail me my wallet" bloom snaps, "sit the hell down now! or stop right there!" carter orders angrily causing bloom to stand still, "we didn't know what happened to you, bloom" damien says, "now you do" bloom remarks, "we're sorry, that's what we came to tell you" damien says, "the way we treated you back in Denver, well, you gotta understand, we were upset" aaron explains, "oh, you were upset? you were upset? I was the captain, those were my men in there! they were my men!" bloom shouts, "we said a lot of awful things in the heat of the moment, but we had a lot of time to think about it, we were wrong, you made the right call" aaron muses, "If you would have let us inside, we would've still been in there when the roof came down" damien reveals, "there's no question, you saved our lives, your boy could only afford two plane tickets, otherwise there would have been a dozen of us here, we all feel the same way" aaron explains, damien pulls his phone out and pulls up a picture of a toddler, "this is my daughter, Lily, she wouldn't exist if you hadn't tackled me that day, cause I was going in, Captain, I was going in" damien says, bloom exits 51 and so do the men from his firehouse allowing the two squad lieutenants to sneak off to their office, kelly holds carter close with his face buried in her hair, "I'm really proud of you" carter praises.
