"For someone who went to bed early last night, you certainly look like you haven't slept a wink" Katie said noticing the bags under Athena's eyes.
Athena poked out her bottom lip. She was tired but thanks to the mega pint of coffee she had that morning, it was enough to get her through the day.
"I mean, unless the reason for it was you sneaking out of the common room to get a midnight snack" Katie pointed out to her.
"Katie Bell!" Athena gasped.
"The only snack I hope she's getting that late at night is something to give her vitamins. You look ghastly this morning Thena" Theo said noticing how pale and tired Athena was.
The girl rolled her eyes and elbowed him on the ribs. He chuckled before his eyes landed on Katie- who was timidly looking down at her shoes.
"Afternoon, Bell" Theo greeted. And Athena squealed internally.
Katie smiled shyly and mumbled a hello as the three of them walked into their potions class. Theo went over to his friends while Katie and Athena went to stand with Hermione, Leanne and Cho.
"Goodness me! You must be Athena!" Professor Slughorn exclaimed upon seeing her.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Sir"
"Likewise my dear. Your grandfather has told me so much about you. My, you look just like your mother. Very bright witch she is, very clever. Please send Iris my regards will you?"
"Of course, Professor" she gave him a small smile.
Once the rest of the students arrived, Professor Slughorn started explaining what they were going to learn that term. Athena glanced at Draco- who seemed uncharacteristically quiet. She noticed that he didn't look like himself and was staring off into space. Feeling eyes on him, Draco looked up a bit, his silver orbs landing on her green ones.
"You okay?" She mouthed at him.
He only gave her a tiny smile before he pretended to listen to what Slughorn was saying. Harry and Ron walked into the room a moment after. Ron shot his friend a glare, clearly not wanting to be there which made Athena hold in a chuckle.
"Now as I was saying. I prepared some concoctions this morning. Any ideas what these might be?"
Hermione as always was the first to raise her hand.
