Killer spent his next moments suffering in the silence of his bedroom, occasionally interrupted by the sounds of his sniffles, sneezes, and frustrated whines due to the incessant itching within his skull.

You'd have given him the allergy tablets that Dust stole if you knew where he hid them, but unfortunately, you knew not where they were. Killer would have to suffer until his symptoms subsided, you suppose.

Deciding not to dwell on Killer's situation any longer, you and Horror chose to move on to other backyard chores. That was why you came out here, after all. Despite that, Horror seemed more focused on exploration rather than clearing, but he chipped away wherever he could.

Before you'd enter the thick of the backyard, there were pathways that once led to several things that resided in the backyard. Horror made the decision to follow the one to the tennis courts first, however, there were still two pathways left unexplored. You knew this place like the back of your hand, regardless of how overgrown it was, but you enjoyed watching Horror explore everything for himself.

While he took his time deciding which direction he'd explore next, you took this time to return the two tennis rackets and ball back to its original place in the tool shed. Horror also took the clippers and hand axe with him, so there was no need to return those until later. When you arrived at the small wooden and stone building, you opened the stiff door and returned the items back to their box.

You left, closing the door behind you and latching it shut. You took this moment of solitude to take in a deep breath and think back on the moments just past. Not only would you never have expected Killer to be interested in tennis, but he tolerated you for nearly an entire game! You even started to enjoy yourself, despite his constant cheating. It was a very 'him' thing to do.

You were also still pondering over whether that smile of his was genuine. Not that he couldn't have interests or anything, but you found it surprising that it happened while playing a tennis game with you of all people. Compared to his constant aggression, it was a nice sight to see. It was progress.

A smile rose to your cheeks at the thought of Killer becoming friendly with you, but you tried not to think about it more than that. If you started to think about it too much, you might accidentally get your hopes up and scare him off, and you most definitely did not want that.

If becoming friends with Killer was something on your bucket list that you hoped to one day achieve, if it was even possible.

A sudden blob of colour flashed in your peripheral vision, dancing on the left-hand side but still hidden within the bushes.

Red, orange, yellow, green, and all the other colours of the rainbow were present. They flickered there for a moment or two before retreating. By the time your eyes latched onto the space, it was gone.

That was... strange...

The only time you'd ever seen such vibrant colours like that was either on the television or in a natural rainbow. But that didn't make any sense, you were nowhere near the television, nor could it have been a rainbow.

Was what you saw even possible??

Maybe that game of tennis earlier exhausted you so much that you were hallucinating? No, that wouldn't make any sense, you didn't use any magic during the game thanks to your gloves. Maybe your eyes were just playing tricks on you?

You looked around around the area just in case there were more suspiciously bright colours you missed, but there was nothing.

No, you definitely saw something, right??
