I forced mysef to get up in tbe middle of thenight and went and found my father, hugging him tightly. Ciel had found a photo during the show and woke me up to show me. The man in the picture had a ring with a crest on it. Sebastian said the same crest was on Beast's leg. So now, I would beg my father to take me out reaping and spying.
"Is something wrong?" he asked quickly when I hugged him out of no where.
"No. I can't hug my father?"
"Of course. I just wanted to make sure," he said.
"Father, I had a request," I said.
"What is it?"
"Could you take me out to reap souls tonight?" I asked.
"Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something in a similar vein," he said, "Close your eyes."
I was confused and a little nervous, but sat on the bed and closed my eyes. I felt Will take my hands and turn them palm up. I felt metal and wood in my hands and gripped it.
"You may look now."
The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was Will looking anxious, picking at his gloves. I looked down at what was in my hands. Twin death scythes with metal snakes wrapped around the handle.
"It is a late gift for your birthday," Will said, pushing his glasses up on his nose, "And later we can get you a pair of glasses perfectly suited to your eyes
"It is a late gift for your birthday," Will said, pushing his glasses up on his nose, "And later we can get you a pair of glasses perfectly suited to your eyes. I noticed that you seemed to like the snake that you found, so I put in for a last minute addition to them."
"They're incredible," I said softly. I stood up and swung them around a little. The metal I knew was heavy, but it felt light to me. I looked back to my father, but he had an awestruck look. I paused, confused, until he cupped my cheek and smiled lovingly.
"Your reaper eyes are beautiful," he said softly. I smiled and hugged him.
"Father, I wanted to go out and reap souls tonight. I want to help Ciel solve this case by seeing if any murders have been commited by the circus."
"I suppose we could," Will said, "I have already registered your death scythes and as long as you are with me as an apprentice, there shouldn't be any trouble."
"Thank you," I said, smiling widely. I was genuinely excited and bouncing in place a little bit as my father change out of the bright yellow suit jacket and put on his usual black one.
"One last thing," he said, "You need to wear something a little easier to move around in."
"Alright. Give me a minute," I said.
"I do have clothes you could wear," he said, setting folded clothes on my bed, "But I will allow you to arrange your clothes how you wish. Also, Grell picked out the clothes because I, unfortunately, didn't trust myself to pick something for you to wear."
