Jungkook pov
Few months later
Jungkook impatiently tapped his fingers on the steering wheel of the car, feeling his whole body exploding with anxiety as they approached his parents' house.
Jimin, sitting in the passenger seat, reached out and grabbed his hand, rubbing the back of Jungkook's knuckles until he stopped fidgeting.
"Relax. Everything will be fine."
"I know, I know," Jungkook said, gasping for breath as he took the last exit off the highway, slowing down as he entered the familiar streets of his family home.
"They told me they're fine with you coming and everything."
"This is really huge!" Jimin said encouragingly, putting his hand around Jungkook's thigh, and rubbing his knee to help him relax.
"I mean, a lot of dads reject gay and never accept. But your dads have really made a lot of progress since you told them."
Several months have passed since the wedding, and now they are going to Thanksgiving dinner at Jungkook's family home.
This would be the first time they met Jimin, and although Jimin was making a brave show for his favour, Jungkook could tell he was also nervous.
Even after all the progress they've made, sometimes Jimin still feels insecure.
After so many years of being rejected by Taehyung's family, it was only logical that Jimin would be worried that Kook's parents would hate him.
"Here we are," Jungkook said, exhaling forcefully as he approached the corridor of his parents' house.
There was already another car there, which meant that Royal had already beaten them there.
Jungkook thinks that's good.
He needed her to be by his side if he was going to get this job done.
Jimin and Jungkook got out of the car and tied their hands as they walked to the door.
Before Jungkook even knocked, the opened the door, revealing his red-faced and smiling mother at the same time, who crushed him in a hug before he had a chance to say hello.
"My baby!" Jungkook's mother shouted, pressing him so hard that he couldn't breathe for a second.
But Jungkook put up with it, and left her, for as long as she wanted,
Before she finally turns away and sets her sights on Jimin, "And it should be..."
"My Jiminy," Jungkook said, placing his hand on Jimin's back to help him stay calm in the moment of truth.
"Darling."
Jungkook's mother smiled wider and extended her arms, asking for a silent hug.
Jimin hesitantly stepped forward, so Kook pushed him from the lower part of his back until he bumped into his mother, and the two hugged each other for several seconds before retreating.
"You look very handsome!" his mom said while shaking Jimin's hand for a moment.
"Well, come, come. Dinner will be ready in an hour. Go and tell your father!"
"That went well," Jimin murmured loudly to him as soon as his mother walked away.
"Yes," Jungkook said with a smile, bending over to give Jimin one last secret kiss before they went to the living room.
"Baby!" Royaltie yelled, jumping off her lover Jackson's lap to cross the room and wrapping Jimin in a hug.
"So glad you were able to make it happen.I know the traffic was a bitch."
