The next I day woke up and rolled over to the see the other side of my bed empty. Jack had slept over, and yes we just slept. I slowly got out of bed and went to the kitchen where I was greeted by Jacks shirtless toned back. He was facing the stove, from the smell I assumed he was making pancakes. I stood at the entryway and admired his shirtless body and his ass in his boxer briefs, until he started singing an Ariana Grande song. I chuckled as he turned around, his cheeks red.

"How much did you hear?" he asked.

"All of it, you should definitely perform that cover at your next concert. So whatcha making?" I asked getting orange juice from the fridge and pouring it into two glasses.

" Chocolate chip pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs. Some of your favorites!" Jack said flipping the pancakes.

"Yum, I'm excited!" I said taking a seat at the island, I couldn't wait to eat.

"Me either, cooking is so tiring." Jack said with a sigh.

"Yeah okay, says the guy who performs at sold out venues." I said sarcastically sipping my juice.

"Ha ha very funny Lil. Everything's ready, wanna eat?" Jack said making his way over to me with two giant plates filled with food.

"Do you even have to ask? I'm starving over here!" I said banging my fists on the countertop like a little child.

"Oh yeah, I keep forgetting you're eating for two now." Jack said with a smirk.

"Shut up." I said as I shoved food into my mouth, devouring the delicious breakfast Jack made within minutes.

"Are you excited for your parents to come home tomorrow?" he asked with a mouthful of food.

"Yeah I guess, nervous though for what they'll say. Good thing we did some practice runs." I said laughing.

"You'll be fine Lily, I've known your parents for like ever. They won't kick you out or disown you. They'll still love you like before." Jack said.

"I just hope you're right. You've really been so great this past week, I don't know what I'd do without you." I said taking more eggs.

We finished our meals and cleaned up the kitchen, when I felt a slight twinge in my lower stomach and the familiar feeling of nausea. I nearly broke a plate as I placed it down and ran to the bathroom, hearing Jacks footsteps behind me.

I leaned my head over the toilet and threw up for what felt like minutes, still having a slight pain in my stomach. The entire time Jack held my hair and rubbed my back, how romantic I thought. I hated people seeing me when I was sick, it was so embarrassing.

When I finished I wiped my mouth and stood up Jack still rubbing my back. I brushed my teeth to get rid of the acidic taste in my mouth. I looked at Jack still embarrassed. "You didn't have to do that, but thanks." I whispered.

"Of course I did, my breakfast probably caused it." Jack said laughing.

"It wasn't your breakfast, that was delicious. It's the stupid morning sickness." I said holding on to my stomach which was still bothering me.

"Are you okay? You still look pale." Jack said concerned leading me to my room, his arm wrapped around my waist.

"Yeah, it's just severe morning sickness, it happens. " I said opening my door and getting in bed. Jack set up a garbage pail next to me, made me hot tea, and got me crackers. He laid in bed next to me as watched more Parks and Rec.

I sipped on the tea. I was still feeling crummy, but it felt good to have someone who cared about me there with me. I wanted Jack to stay with me like this forever, but my parents would be home tomorrow night so our little playing house game would be over. The week and half we spent together really brought us closer together. Things had been rocky since what happened in California, but I finally felt like we were on the same page... as friends. I would never know if we'd ever be something more, but it felt so good to have my best friend truly back in my life.

I curled up next to Jack and laid my head on his chest, I swear I heard his heart skip a beat. His arm draped around me, his fingers making circles on my side. I felt so content and at peace that I fell into a wonderful slumber.

I woke up to the most intense stomach pain I have ever had. It was unbearable, I tried moving my legs so I could go to the bathroom. As I moved my legs I noticed my leggings felt as if they were wet. My heart began racing as I slowly moved my hand under the sheets, I glanced at Jack whose eyes were glued to the tv. My hand was met with a warm substance. Nervous to check, I slowly looked down at my hand which was covered in blood, my blood. I couldn't speak, I was taken aback... I knew what this meant. I smacked Jack with my clean hand and showed him the one covered in blood.

Jack immediately took action and picked me up and brought me to the bathroom where he sat me down on the toilet and ran back to my room to get fresh clothes. He ran back in, I could tell he was nervous, his hands shaking as he gave me a clean pair of sweatpants. I changed myself as fast as I could, the entire time feeling like this was an outer body experience. Jack carried me out of the house, his keys dangling from his hand. He placed me in the front seat of his jeep, slammed the door, running around and jumped in the car speeding towards the hospital. The entire time we didn't speak, there were just no words. He parked the car, ran as fast as he could around to me and carried me out to the entrance. I buried my head into his neck and felt the tears streaming down.

Before I knew it I was lying on a hospital bed, nurses were running tests, prodding me with needles and telling me it was all going to be okay. Jack held my hand the entire time telling me the same thing as the nurses.

Even with their words I knew what was happening, I knew I had lost this baby, just like I had lost Nate.
