You briskly walk through the long halls, rounding a corner before approaching the large golden doors of Odin's Throne room.Guards are protecting the entrance which tells you the Allfather was inside.
"I wish to speak with King Odin" you instruct
The large golden doors open wide, the guards moving out of the way allowing you to enter.
Memories replay in your mind, only ever having had bad experiences within this room. You hope this time it'll be more in your favour.
"Ah, dear Mina, come in, welcome" Odin says rather jolly. You almost forgot you're both on good terms now.
You step warily towards the bottom of the golden steps, Odin moving from his ostentatious throne starting to descend the glistening stairs.
"I've waited for your call King Odin, I've yet to have a meeting with your raven. I need the location of the gem, Loki is deteriorating, his mind now split, and his personas fading fast!"
Odin looked at you gravely, which surprised you. He knew and announced to you previously that Loki would eventually succumb to his illness but this news seemed to surprise him.
"Are you sure? has any personality been erased yet?" He questions, sounding concerned
"Yes, I've lost apart of him I want back!"
Odin looked downwards, almost saddened. "Then he really is fading away, he's truly lost" he said, barely a whisper, yet you heard him.
Odin predicted Loki would perish, yet now he acts surprised, you found his behaviour very confusing.
"Why haven't you set up the meeting, I've been waiting anxiously?"
Odin looked up, his eyes on you but his mind remained in deep thought.
A few minutes pass by, your foot tapping on the floor as you grow impatient, yet he was locked in intense contemplation.
"King Odin! Please we have very little time"
Odin snapped out of his thoughts, nodding his head.
"I didn't want to believe he was truly diminishing. I held off your meeting because I changed my mind, I saw how you stayed by Loki's side, caring for him. You really are worthy of him...so I didn't wish to put you back with my Raven. But it seems now it doesn't matter, Loki is.." his voice breaks, trailing off, you're unable to catch his last murmurs.
You stare at Odin confused, not understanding why he's rambling. It's a simple plan, you talk with Munnin, and he reveals the location of the gem. You don't know why Odin's so hesitant all of a sudden.
"So, will you take me to Munnin? Time is of the essence, we've little time before Loki's fully gone"
Odin is impressed, observing your determination and bravery, yet there was an emotion behind his eyes you couldn't quite grasp.
Odin nodded to his guards, who readied themselves to take you to Munnin.
"Oh, and when I get back, I'd like you to legally bind me and Loki. We wish to marry as soon as possible"
Odin stopped his decent down the steps, looking at you shocked "you wish to marry my son even though he'll become a mere vessel. His body used just to house a brooding mass of hate. The frenzied insanity wrecking his image as he hibernates inside himself turning to skin and bones. You want to be bound to that until the end of your days?"
"I will never forsake Loki" you say with sincerity "but I no deep down this will not be his fate, I will get the location of the gem, we can save him Allfather" you look at him full of hope, yet his eyes display a loss, as though he already mourns.
