Jordan's point of view

"How was shopping?" Ashton asked me and Michael. "Did you buy her clothes that are appropriate Michael? I do not want to see her coming out in a bikini top and short shorts one day."

"I don't wear bikinis. I'm thirteen, not seventeen." I said and scrunched my face up. "Besides, I can't stand showing too much skin. It's not my thing." I said and he nodded.

"What will you be swimming in then when it's hot? Skinny jeans?" He asked me and I shook my head as I laughed.

"No, I have shorts and tank-tops, that's enough." I said. "I don't like bathing suits either, it's just, they're so uncomfortable." I told them and took a bite of my lasagna.

"We bought her a lot of band shirts and bracelets. It was so fun watching her get excited over them. She has such a great music taste." Michael sakd and I smiled proudly.

"I grew up listening to rock n roll and bands similar to Green Day. After that, it just bloomed into this love for bands and then it branched out into pop-punk, deathcore, rock, and so much more." I explained and they nodded.

"Did you get anything formal? She's going to need dresses." Calum said and I played with my food. "You know, like those really cute formal dresses you see little girls wearing."

"We grabbed a few, but not a lot because she doesn't like them. We grabbed a red one, a white one, a black one, a blue one, and then a purple one." Michael said and I nodded. "She didn't want any other colors."

"You did make sure she got some things are even the least bit feminine, right? She can't just wear skinny jeans all the time." Ashton said and I sighed. I knew he'd get upset if I didn't grab any, so I was glad that I did.

"We grabbed a few skirts, but they're not those cute little colorful ones with patterns. They're solid colors like maroon and black, a few were black leather and plaid aswell." I said and Michael nodded as he took a bite.

"You're a girl, you can't just be dressing in dark colors like that. You need brighter colors; pink, yellow, orange, blue." Ashton told me and Calum spoke up.

"Dude, if she doesn't like it, she doesn't need to. Allow her to dress the way she wants. It covers her body, just be greatful for that." Calum defended me. "Besides, I saw the skirts th eery bought, they're adorable."

"You're thirteen, you should be wearing colorful clothes." Ashton told me. "I'll go out and buy it myself if I have to. You can't just waltz around in blacks and reds."

"You shouldn't be talking when you always wear black." I shot back and he glared at me. "In every photo I saw, you're in black jeans and some black shirt. So why can't I? Just because I'm a young and am a girl?"

"In every photo you seen? Did you google us?" Michael asked with a laugh. "Cute." He said and I just laughed.

"I was looking for your music and a ton of photos came up. And I've got to say this, great job on the She Looks So Perfect video, it is forever burned in my mind, along with Don't Stop." I said and he laughed at my disgust.

"You're a girl and girls are supposed to wear colors and things like dresses and such." He told me. He was acting like the administrator back in the adoption center.

"I am a girl, but I am not supposed to wear anything. I can wear what I want and I shouldn't have to be told that the way I dress is not meant for a girl." I said. "You're lucky Michael even talked me into buying the skirts."

"Dresses and skirts were made for girls to wear. You're thirteen too, you should be wearing colorful clothes, not just black." He brought up again.
