I look up. "Wh-what?" I ask, hiccuping.

"I don't want to hurt ye, lass."
He repeated.

"I.. Don't understand.. Why?"
"I am not connected with that main server, lass. They don't bother being shuttin' me down. I do not go savage like these wee sprogs." He pulled me up and set me on my feet. "Why are you saving me?" I say, shakily.
"I am not forgetting me first mate, Ash!" He looks at me in the eye.

"Ye're the only one in years to come visit Ol' Foxy."
"I loved you Foxy.. I threw a fit when I couldn't see you the next day!" I hugged him. I could see his eyes glow with happiness.
"I don't understand. Why don't they bother unhooking you from the main server?" I pulled away, looking him over.

"The Bite Of '87." I looked at him, and for the first time, I noticed he has a broken jaw.
"Your jaw.." I started.
"It broke it durin' that bite."
"Well.. What happened to the rest of you? I know your shredded pants were part of the costume.."
"Freddy beat me up. He got angry because we couldn't walk off the stage for a couple of years."
"Freddy beat you up?"
"Aye, Lass. He did."
"Well! That's just rude!"
"It be not his fault! I am the one who caused it..." He looked as sad as an animatronic could ever be. He kinda sat down on the chair and put his head in his hands... err, paws... well, one metal paw and one hook.
"I didn't mean to hurt the lass! The sprog kicked you, hurt ol' Foxy, and I got angry at that point. I snapped...."

He goes silent after that. He knows what I saw. I check the time. 5:55. I put a hand on his shoulder. "It's ok. I understand. You were doing it for me, for the kids all around, and for yourself." I say. He studies me.
"Aye, lass. I was doing it for ye. I was upset that she was hurtin ye." He says.
"I'm happy you did that for me." I hug him, but as I do, the alarm blares. It goes off, over and over. "I have to go. I'll come back again tomarrow night ok?" He looked sad.

"Aye lass. I have to go as well. I will be comin' back soon." Foxy said, standing up. I checked the cameras. All the animatronics were at the stage. I switched to Pirates Cove just in time to see Foxy getting back behind his purple and gold star curtain. I looked at the percentage. Almost two percent. I put the iPad down, and grab my stuff. I walk down the hall, just minutes before, I was freaking out, afraid I was going to die.

Now I feel that if I come back here, I am, this time, really going to die.. But Foxy will be here to help me.

I hope.
