Chapter 3 - Unexpected Encounter

                                    

                                          

Queen quietly sat on a chair. Ai served them dinner a while ago with the help of Hachi. She was expecting Spade to immediately start discussing the next course of actions. But, to her surprise, Spade was confusingly silent. And not wearing his usual makeup. But Queen decided to let all her worries go when Hachi served them all some strawberry cake.
Spade smiled as he watched Queen happily eat the strawberry cake. He told Ai and Hachi earlier to make Queen's favorite dessert. For the Kaitou knew that Queen was also shaken by everything that had happened. It reminded him of the simpler times. Of the days when their master would give them tests and activities to complete and when they completed it, Silver Heart would make them their favorite meals and desserts.
He could even vaguely remember him and Joker, who were busy training to be a Kaitou. They would sometimes sabotage each other, but it was part of the fun. And sometimes, Queen would join them too.
Spade sighed. He should stop reminiscing on the past. The past is past, and they had more important matters to attend too.
"Everyone. I am afraid that we have a bigger issue to solve first." Spade spoke with calmness in his voice. "Some informants I have contacted me informed me of Joker's current plans. We will continue discussing our plan of actions after dinner." he said. Everyone understood Spade's statement. And everyone had a determined look on their face.



Joker looked up and down from the map he found in the ring.  "I hope this is the right location." He said, looking around their surroundings. "I hope so too" Rose said, who was leaving a cup of coffee for Joker.
"It'll all be over soon." Joker murmured. 'It'll all be over soon- right?' he asked himself


Roko and Hosshi both don't know how exactly their plan will start. So for the time being, the two settled on looking for anyone to help them. They tried contacting Joker and the others, but for some reason they are unreachable.
"Hey Hosshi. I think we should rest for today." Roko said. The space cat nodded as Roko sighed. "If only we could reach them somehow..." Roko murmured. The two continued their path when they saw someone from the distance that looked awfully familiar.
"Hey, Hosshi... Do you recognize that person?" Roko asked. "Hosshi?" the cat replied. Though, Roko and Hosshi's questions were answered when they saw that the person was headed towards them in a hurry. "RUN!" The all too familiar voice said. Roko and Hosshi were too shocked to move, so the person carried them and the three scurried away.

"I... I remember you now!" Roko said, as the familiar person put Roko and Hosshi down. The three of them managed to run quite a distance. "Dr. Neo, in the flesh." the doctor said.
"Why are you helping us?" Roko asked. "Your friends sort of helped me too, you know? Gave me a second chance and all... And besides. I think we are running away from the same threat." Dr. Neo stated.
"Same threat?" Roko asked again. "Yes... There is this secret organization that is kidnapping Kaitou's and other people who are in close contact with the Kaitou's. I don't know who they are, or what are their main motives... But I know it isn't good." Dr. Neo said.
"We need to find Joker- or Queen." Roko said. "I know Joker and his other friends decided to travel back in time. That's why they contacted me and made a deal with me. By now, they must be back here in the present time. The only question is where are they." Dr. Neo said.
"Hosshi!!!" Hosshi said, jumping up and down. "I think Hosshi knows where Phoenix is. And if I am correct, Phoenix should be with Joker." Roko said. "Then let's go. We don't want to waste time." Dr. Neo said.






Facts about this chapter!!!
- Dr. Neo is good now! Cause for some reason I want him to be good.
- Roko, Hosshi and Dr. Neo weren't supposed to meet at this chapter- they were supposed to meet at Chapter 6
- Spade be stalling on discussing his plan... I wonder why?
- Queen is getting more observant lately. Hmm. Maybe she is onto something?
- First chapter title that is not a reference to a song

Authors Note
- I'm both busy and not busy with school lately. But everything is manageable! It's actually fun! I- honestly? Never had fun at school- it was mostly filled with activities and school work. Now though? I got to enjoy being a Senior High student.
- Met the best friends I could ever meet- Such great people. I might and definitely make a story centering around em.
- Speaking of stories!!! I'll be publishing 2 original stories and 1 fanfiction by the end of this year! I plan on writing everything first before publishing it.
- I plan on finishing this book before November- hopefully
- I think- I have a crush? maybe? I dunno
