Meanwhile at the Hellmouth...
Omnigul suddenly felt a disturbing feeling course through her body, like the feeling of having a part of her own self shattered or lost at the hands of something else. She could not understand what exactly that sensation was, but after a while of feeling it continuously, she finally understood what it meant at the same time that she ceased her attacks against the guardians momentarily, taking a hold of her chest, and grunting tiredly for a few seconds.
"What... is this?" Omnigul asked while facing down in slight pain. "Wait... Don't tell me..."
The hive witch shut up in shock, knowing that the master she was so loyally trying to bring back had actually being bested in a fight against the lightbearers she herself sent him as offering. Omnigul remained in silence while trying to assimilate this turn of events. Nonetheless, it didn't take long before she recovered her composure while taking a long sigh, her previous shock and concern vanishing as she clapped her hands together, and focused on the ritual one more time.
'Well... no matter that' she thought in a weirdly calm way, apparently not feeling troubled any longer about her master's defeat. And the thing is there was actually a very good reason for that. 'Lord Crota... you and your followers never expected this... but we were indeed ready for it. Your WILL will help you rise as many times as you need, so go...'

'...and show these inferior creatures the crudeness of their situation'
As Omnigul moved on with the ritual of resurrection, nurturing herself more by the second, the guardians on the surface were dealing with their own problems by facing the countless Hive enemies attacking them. Cayde and Idus were fighting the thralls, acolytes and knights head on, using their hand cannons continuously in order to blow them away. On the other hand, Gamia was majorly battling from the distance, blasting the enemies nearby, and using her void illusions as weapons.
Despite their efforts however, the guardians were slowly getting overwhelmed by the amount of Hive forces which only kept on increasing more and more. Cayde knew there was never gonna be an end for the fight unless they dealt with the source of every space insect that was spawning around, meaning that Omnigul was the true objective which they needed to take down.
"This is taking us nowhere! We need to bring that witch down now!!!" Cayde yelled while in the middle of the fight.
"Yeah? Well... any idea on how to do that?!" Idus replied in the same manner.
"Not really... She was able to endure one of my powerful shots before. So I don't think any regular attack will hurt her. We need to apply more power somehow!"
"Or...! We can take power away from her!!!" Kadiah intervened as the hunters startled, Cayde getting a bit puzzled by her words, but Idus having an idea of what she was planning already. "Yeah! Idus can do that! With his special void arrow, or whatever it's called, he can weaken that witch enough for our attacks to actually deal damage!"
"Is that possible?"
"Yeah..." Idus replied. "It may work, but the effect of my technique has a limited range. And since that witch is floating in mid-air, it's gonna have to be a precise shot. There is nothing else to stuck the arrow into other than her body after all"
Cayde stayed pensive for some time, seeing the many thralls that were emerging from beneath the surface of Luna, and watching Omnigul from afar, floating on the middle of the hellmouth. "So... what you are saying is that you are gonna need some time to focus, right?" asked the exo hunter while getting ready to fight once more. "I'll try to buy you as much as I can... How many times can you use that skill?"
