On his way to grab a tangerine from the kitchen Yoongi overheard a conversation between maknaes which struck an interest in him. “So do you think you like him? After everything you just said, it does seem obvious but it’s ultimately up to your gut instincts.” He heard Jimin say. “Yeah and if you do it’s totally okay with us. But don’t sit on it for too long, you might want to tell him eventually even if he may not feel the same way. And if he doesn’t then we got you.” Jungkook added hugging Taehyung close to him. Jimin joined the group hug as Yoongi left the room.

Taehyung has a crush? Yoongi thought to himself. He wondered if it was one of his actor friends, who he often spent his free time with. Although, now that he thought of it, none of them had hung out recently. Anyway, it was none of his business and he was happy that Taehyung was finding some sort of romance despite their busy and chaotic lifestyle. He secretly wished he could do the same. The thought made him feel sad. Sometimes the idol lifestyle sucked. If only their world could be less judgmental and more accepting. He often wondered if he had been living in another continent, or even country, could things be more comfortable for him.

However, the workload on his laptop reminded him that there was no need to long for what wasn’t there. He was happy and he was doing what he loved. He enjoyed being with the boys and he enjoyed being a musician. It was his ultimate passion and his motivation for everything. And so he ate his tangerine, put his headphones back on and dived right into his work. He created tracks and perfected others. He edited lyrics and checked over drafts sent by other members and his producers. He worked efficiently letting all his thoughts flow out through his fingertips. He grabbed his acoustic guitar from beside his desk and played around until he found a pattern which he thought would fit. He recorded it on his phone and made a note to rerecord it better the next time he was in his Genius Lab.

When he felt satisfied with his work he stepped away. It had been many hours later and it was dark outside. The time was now after 10 and he needed to go and get food. In the kitchen he spotted the other members and greeted them. They all stood around eating leftovers which varied depending on the person. He would be lucky if there was anything in the fridge by this point. Settling for some leftover rice and pork belly he grabbed a couple more ingredients from the fridge to make a fried egg. Hoseok stood near him washing the dishes. “Hoba, if you have a question, just ask me.” He said. He had spotted all the little looks his sunshine had sent his way the minute he stepped into the kitchen. He also just had a feeling that Hoseok would interrogate him at some point; call it soulmate intuition.

Hoseok briefly giggled and paused his task, now that he was caught. “So, you gonna tell me what happened between you and Tae?” By now the other members were in the living room watching TV and catching up. Yoongi watched Hoseok rinse the remaining dishes. “Of course, Hoba. I just haven’t really thought about it much myself, you know?” He sighed. It was quiet before Yoongi spoke again, “So after the argument that Taehyung had with the others, he had been sleeping with me. Which I thought nothing of because he can be cuddly and he needed comfort. But then it was when I was pissed off my head that things went weird. I don’t remember much of what happened that night, but when I woke up I was rude to him and told him not to come back there.

I tried to apologise and he didn’t accept it, and so I snapped and that’s what you all saw before we were awkward. And so then we made up and everything went back to normal, I guess, but when we got home he cuddled with me. And it was weird at first, but I didn’t dislike it, you know?” Yoongi didn’t know what else to say. He just looked at his hands that were putting his used frying pan in the sink. Hoseok rolled his eyes, earning a small snicker from Yoongi as a thanks. As Yoongi sat down to eat, Hoseok studied his best friend. Oh the situation he had got himself into, he doesn’t even know it yet. He thought to himself with a small smile.

Hoseok turned to clean the frying pan. “How do you feel when you two are alone? Like, is it specifically different from the others?” Yoongi frowned, he wasn’t sure. Was it? Did he even notice? “Like when you accidentally brush your hands or when he tries to hug you, do you feel butterflies or nerves. Like does your heart flutter? Don’t look at me like that! You know what kind of question I’m trying to ask.” Hoseok smirked, gloved hand on his hip. He knew Yoongi knew what he meant, but it was just so funny to tease him. He loved to watch his hyung squirm at the concept of romance, affection and all verbal forms of appreciation. It was beyond cute because he knew how soft his hyung could be, despite his hard exterior, but he just needed a push in the right direction. The poor kitten was just shy.

“I-I don’t know. Give me a while and I'll come back to you when I know something. Okay?” Yoongi said between mouthfuls of food. Hoseok shrugged, patted the other blonde on the back and left, wishing him good luck with a laugh. It wasn’t like he didn’t believe the older, it was just Yoongi needed a push to see what was in front of him. But he promised to himself that he wouldn’t get too involved, this wasn’t his mystery to unravel. However, he was one for gossip, so he wandered through the house to find Jimin.
