Cara's POV
"Cara, I know what you did to Luna. I know that you hurt her and she is not just telling me about it." Dad 
"Why? You hate me now? Are you going to kick me out of the house because I threw a glass on her making her bleed? Go on. No one's stopping you, Dad." 
He sighed "I don't know what Luna did for you to hate her, but I am telling you, I care for you more than her-" 
"And that you love me more than her? I heard actions speaks louder than words. Haven't you heard of that? Well I guess you did not." 
I was about to close the door when he stopped it and he entered the room. He then closed it quickly and took a deep breath. 
"Luna, she needed someone-" Dad 
"Please, stop with that excuse! I don't care if she needed someone or if she needed attention. Can't you see the problem? Mom died because of your mistress! That hurts. And you still took that bitch and made her stay here?!" 
"Luna is not your sister" Dad 
I looked at him with my eyes widened "What are you saying? She is the child of your mistress-" 
"No, she's not. That mistress you were talking about, our baby died inside her womb, and it hurt her so much, we decided to adopt a baby. That's Luna." Dad 
"What?" 
"Luna doesn't deserve the hate you were giving her. She is not related to the woman you hate. She is not related to any of us-" Dad 
"Reason, huh?" 
"I am telling you the truth. She is not related to any of us. She's adopted, and I am sure sooner or later she will look for her birth parents" Dad
That stopped me... 
I am hating Luna for the wrong information I got?

"Class dismissed. You may all go and take a break." teacher said and she left 
"Cara, you want to join us?" Haewon asked 
"Uh... No. I have to go to the library to find some books." 
"Acting like some freaking weirdo, again?" Haewon chuckled 
I just gave her a fake smile. 
"Fine. Find us if you changed your mind, freak." Haewon said and left with her two bees
I still can't believe what Dad told me. Luna is adopted? And I am hating her for my whole life thinking she is my Dad's child with his mistress? Fuck. 
Still, I don't believe Dad's words. I know he will do everything so I won't hate Luna. I am sure he is crossing the line now that he finds out I hurt Luna physically which really shocked him for sure. 
My hands were shaking as I started typing Dad's mistress number. I don't what's gotten into me that I want to confirm it so much.

[Hello? Who is this?]
I stayed silent. 
[Hello? Are you calling the wrong number? Make sure it's the right number.]
How can I start? 
[Hello? I'm going to end this call if you won't talk to me-]
"It's me."
[Is this Luna?]
"Cara. Yeon Cara." 
She was silent. 
"I didn't call to curse at you. I am still mad but I don't have time now. I want to confirm something else, and make sure not to tell Dad about today." 
[Yeah. Sure. W-What is it?]
"About Luna" 
[What about her? Did something bad-]
"Was it true? Is she adopted?" 
[What are you saying? That's not a good joke.]
"Dad told me about it. I don't believe him-" 
[And you believe me after what I have done?]
"Just fucking answer it. Is Dad lying or not?" I tried to control my tears because of anger and... disappointment. 
[Yes... Your Dad is telling you the truth. We adopted Luna after I lost Farah-]
I ended the call and started crying... 
I don't know why, but there are two reasons why I am crying. First, I talked to the woman I hated the most. Second, the guilt is killing me. 
Or maybe because I don't want to believe the truth. 
"Are you crying?" someone asked.
I hurriedly wiped my tears and focused on my phone "Why would I?" 
"You look like you are crying. I am not blind though." he said and I heard his footsteps coming towards me "Cara" 
I looked at who it was, and it's Jihun. He handed me his handkerchief and sat on the chair in front of mine. 
"What happened? You can always tell me-" Jihun 
I shook my head "I just found out something really disappointing today. I don't know if I am happy or if I am hurt. I don't understand." 
"So, Luna is adopted? And you don't know if you are hurt or happy? I can tell what I see." Jihun 
I stayed silent. 
"But I won't say it. I know you wouldn't want me to tell you-" Jihun 
"Luna can't know about it. Promise me you won't tell her." 
He nodded and hugged me tightly "I know. You can trust me, Cara. I won't say a word, but I want you to be the person who won't lie to your own sister. No matter how much you hate her, she still cares for you and remembers you every time she sees something you like." 
"I-I don't want to tell her." 
"Why?" he whispered as he caress my back 
"... She will leave us."
