I stood underneath the sakura tree waiting. The light spring breeze causes the vibrant pink petals to fall painting the green grassy field with dots of pink. A note that had been put on my desk earlier told me to go here after school. I had suspicions that it was my classmate and friend, Yukina Minato. Maybe that was just wishful thinking. After all, I have had feelings for her for awhile now. The noise of footsteps startles me, interrupting the quiet mood. Someone approaches me from behind.

"I'm glad you came."

A monotone and serious voice. I recognize the owner of that pleasant voice instantly. I felt my heart begin to beat rapidly. It's a voice I've listened to sing dozens of times. I turn to the source of the voice, the voice of the amazing singer, and my heart skips a beat.

"Yukina? I'm guessing that note was yours." I say to the silver haired girl.

"It was. I'm glad you got it." She slightly smiled.

Once more, the wind rattles the branches like wooden windchimes. Yukina stares at me with her usual serious expression as her long hair is pushed ever so slightly against the breeze. As it passes, her eyes lock with mine. The anxious beating of my heart grows more fierce.

"Y/N..." She continues. "I like you. Are you willing to devout yourself to me?"

"I like you too, Yukina." I reciprocate.

"It's decided then. C'mon, let's go on a date." She says not breaking her earnest demeanor.

-One month later-

It's gradation day at Haneoka. The graduating students make their way towards the school one last time. The halls are packed with people both students, friends, parents, and teachers. Dozens of excited conversations can be heard when passing by. Even the conversations held in hush whispers contribute to the cacophony that fills my ears. The tension and excitement can be seen on their faces. I can see all the faces that have become so familiar to me. The ever so fleeting Kaoru, The boppin Hina, and of course the outgoing gyaru Lisa are all there. To my surprise, even Marina is here to watch us graduate.

Hina held the valedictorian speech. Was it a good speech? Well, it was a boppin one. Let's just put it at that. Of course, she had to end it with a message promoting the graduation party.

"Don't forget, the graduation party will be held at CiRCLE tonight! There will be free drinks and food. And the main event: the girl bands from here playing a boppin show!"

Haneoka's graduation party was something of legend to the students. According to the stories, those who kiss during the party are guaranteed to be together forever. Of course, it is just a story, but everyone takes it super seriously, even me. After Hina reminds everyone of the party, I feel in my pocket for the gift I wanted to give to Yukina. A silver butterfly ring that matches her silver hair and compliments her butterfly hair piece.

Once the ceremony is over, everyone shuffles outside. I look at Marina who is trying her hardest to hide her tears.

"Are you feeling okay, Marina?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Except, it's a terrible day for rain."

"It's not raining."

"Yes, yes it is." Marina looks up at the cloudy sky. As she speaks, the clouds drift apart letting a ray of bright of sunshine peak through to light up Marina.

"Hey guys!" Lisa comes over to us. "I still can't believe we've graduated. Say, Y/N, you're not going to chicken out of giving Yukina that ring, right?"

"Of course not." I blush and take the ring out. "It looks good, doesn't it? It cost last months paycheck to get a ring this nice."

"It's beautiful! I know Yukina will love it. Y/N, you have good taste. You must've learned about fashion from the best." She said stroking her ego.
