AUDREY DAVIS SAT OPPOSITE TO DR. MARTIN BRENNER. "why'd you do it? peter needs to be punished!" he stressed.
audrey was done. sitting straighter, she glared menacingly at the older man. "when i first came here, i did not yell or scream at you for taking me away from my life. i looked at the brighter side of things and i played along. i stayed calm and i allowed you to do whatever you wanted to me!"
"i have been here for three years. i have allowed you to take my hair. i have allowed you to perform tests on me. to take away my right to have children." she spoke calmly yet deadly. "i was never happy though,"
"but then peter and i met. and then mila came and i had the family i never got. i got all my wishes. i was loved. i had a child to treat as my own, to treat better than i was ever treated. and i was happy."
papa stared at her in shock. she had never spoke out. "i will not allow you to take my happiness away from me. i have done everything you asked of me. if i asked you to grant me one thing, i ask you grant me this. please."
dr.brenner caved. "fine. i will allow this. i will allow you to keep your family, on one condition. you will allow us to start our testing again. however, if it gets too much we will stop. sounds good?"
audrey stared at him for a second, scanning his face. "will i have to shave my head?" dr.brenner shook his head no softly. "fine. i will allow you to do tests on me, and in return i will be allowed my family. deal?"
"deal. and audrey, i'm sorry that you didn't feel happy." audrey nodded wordlessly and headed to her room. her slender hands worked the door knob and when she finally opened it, audrey was surprised to peter awake and staring at her.
audrey didn't hesitate to run over and pull him into her arms hugging him to her chest tightly. peter groaned. "i'm alive, i promise." he strained out.
audrey pulled back and smashed her lips to his. their mouth dances in a game full of passion and love. it wasn't hot or lust filled, instead it was full of love. "i love you." she muttered when she pulled back, placing her forehead against his.
peter's blue eyes scanned her face. she seemed happy about something, something that wasn't just him waking up. "you're happy about something. what is it?" he observed.
"papa gave the okay."
"okay for what?" he curiously looked down at the woman.
"he approved. we can be together. he said he'd allow it if i agreed to start testing again." peter didn't respond, just tilted her face up to his with his thumb and pointer finger before swooping down and kissing her with all the affection he could give.
"id do anything for you, audrey davis." he pressed a kiss against her forehead.
audrey blushed and burrowed her head into his neck, playing with the curls in the back of his head.
peter chuckled. "and i for you, henry creel."
TATI'S NOTES a bit on the shorter side but i did like four chapters tonight so can you really blame me?
