RIP Kakucho, went out like a fruit in Fruit Ninja
'Damnn...Are Kisaki-san's parents rich RICH or something? Everyone looks so expensive.' (Y/n) looked in awe at the school building, the students there were one of the best dressed ones she saw so far, even had some of the latest gadgets. Gulping, (Y/n) looked down at her own uniform, surely nothing compared to what they were wearing.
'Focus! We are here to look for Kisaki, not ogle the school.' She thought as she walked across the school yard and into the building, hoping she will find the 3rd division captain as soon as possible.
While walking inside the school, she received some weird stares, while the other students were just ignoring her, too busy to get out of school and go home.
"Excuse me, you don't go here as far as I can tell. Did you need someone?" A girl with black haired walked over to (Y/n), curious as to who she was. "Yeah, I am looking for a boy that is in the 2nd year here, I believe. But I am unsure in which classroom."
"Are you two friends? What's his name?" The girl asked again, receiving a short nod from (Y/n) "Something like that, his name is Kisaki Tetta. Do you know him by any chance?"
"Oh! Him! Yeah I do, we have math together. I think he should be still in his classroom, right Mina?"
The black haired girl asked as she turned to her friend, who looked at her in confusion. "Kisaki-san, he stayed in the classroom when we left, right?" "Ah sure! I think he is still there, I didn't see him in the hallway yet." Mina nodded as she pointed down the hallway.
"The last door is our classroom." Nodding her head and quickly thanking them, (Y/n) walked towards the said classroom, hoping he was there so she wouldn't have to search the whole school yard for him.
"This is it, the last door." She mumbled and took a deep breath, before slowly opening the door. Peeking through the entrance, she looked around the room, a smile of relief forming on her face when she noticed the familiar blonde.
"Kisaki-san!" She called out to the boy, who slowly turned around to look at her in surprise.
"(Y/n)? What are you doing here?" The blonde asked while getting up and walking over to her.
"I need to talk to you about something, it's kind of important to me. Do you have time?" She asked as Kisaki thought for a moment, then slowly nodding his head in confirmation.
"Sure. Wait outside, I will be there in a minute."The duo walked to a secluded part of the school grounds and sat down on the bench, neither uttering a word. (Y/n) was looking around the garden, trying to think of a way to start this talk. After all, she never talked to Kisaki much so this was a little awkward for her. The boy on the other hand felt happy she was here, though his face didn't show it.
"So, what was the reason you came to my school? The Kawatas probably told you where I am." Kisaki started, getting a nod for the question.
"Yeah, I asked them since I needed to talk to you about something."
"I am all ears. Ask away." Kisaki leaned against the bench, throwing a few glances at the girl.
"I talked with a friend of mine yesterday. Tachibana Hinata, based on what she told me, you two used to be friends at some point. She also told me that the three of us used to hang out a few years ago. Can you tell me something about that time?" (Y/n) asked, facing Kisaki now, and to her surprise, the boy grew completely tense at those words.
"Well...I wouldn't say that Tachibana and I were friends, just close acquaintances at most. But she did get some of the bullying for hanging out with me." Kisaki admitted as he looked at (Y/n) to see if he can continue.
"So you were the main target then... Can you tell me some more?" (Y/n) asked, surprised to hear that Kisaki was bullied at some point, seeing how intimidating he can be at times. "Well there isn't much to say about me. I used to keep to myself at the time and just study, since rarely anyone wanted to hang out with me. Well, other than Tachibana and you, (Y/n)." Kisaki said as he looked her in the eyes, the girl slowly nodding her head.
"Were we close friends, back then?" "I like to think we were." Kisaki admitted, looking away from the girl and then up in the sky.
"I really like the idea of it. You were and still are very kind hearted, and very accepting. I really like that about you." (Y/n) blushed in embarrassment from those words and looked away, hoping Kisaki didn't see that reaction.
"We didn't know each other for that long back then, but you really made my days a little more bearable. And I will forever be grateful tfor that." "That's too much, Kisaki-san. I really didn't do much-" "You did though, for me talking to you was the best time of the day.
After you suddenly stopped showing up...it really hurt, but I tried to move on. But, I couldn't especially after I saw you a few times outside and you ignored me." Kisaki clenched his fists, as (Y/n) looked down on the ground.
"I...the reason I stopped visiting you guys, was because at the time I was in a car accident. Most of my memories around that time are still blurry." (Y/n) explained, feeling really sorry for worrying both him and Hinata, but there was nothing she could really do at the time. Kisaki's eyes widened at those news and turned his head to face her again.
"What do you mean car accident? Were you hit?!"
"Uhm yeah." (Y/n) answered, surprised at his outburst.
"And the person who was responsible? What happened with them?" Kisaki pressed the issue, wanting to hear every bit of detail that was possible.
"Well, I am unsure what happened with him. The charges were dropped after a week or so. My mom told me he was the son of some police chief at the time. To be honest, both of us were just happy to be alive to care about it."
While explaining, she never noticed the way Kisaki's body shook with rage. The boy sighed and tried to calm himself down, there was no need to scare her away from him, now that she was so close again. He will take care of the pest later though, he will be damned if he let this slide.
"I am sorry to hear that. It must have been disappointing."
"Well...I don't know, I am just happy to be alive, so I don't really care." Kisaki nodded his head and got up, stretching his hand out to her then. "Alright then, want to go for a walk and maybe catch up? If you want us to be friends again, that is." Suddenly he felt the familiar feeling of nervousness coming over him, the same one he felt all those years ago when he first met (Y/n). The said girl stared at his hand for a moment, she was unsure, Takemichi and him didn't seem to get along much. But he picked hanging out with Chifuyu over her so many times at this point, that she could care less about his reaction right now.
Giving him a faint smile, she grabbed his hand and nodded her head.
"Sure, I like the idea." Kisaki smiled, a genuine one, and the duo left the school grounds. It felt nice to not fake a smile like he usually did, and he felt happy that he was finally getting the chance to reconnect with (Y/n) properly.
'And that bastard who ruined it all the first time will pay for it.'
