I just finished the last of homework when my mom called me down to talk. I was a little confused when she told me she wanted to take me on a surprise trip during our winter break. I was going to decline but she pleaded with me so i just gave in. She smiled and said "Hopefully this trip will cheer you up" i was once again confused by what she meant. She just said "Dont worry about it" and kissed my head.
I decided to tell Mar we were gonna have to cancel our plans but when I went to text him he had already decided he was gonna hang with Alyssa for winter break. I was a bit hurt but I didn't let it show

Uhh I actually don't know my mom didn't say all she said was she planned a trip

Wow I can't believe he was gonna ditch me anyway. I guess I'll just sleep I'm not really hungry... I'll text my mom and let her know

*2 Days before the trip*
I walked up to Mattia and Robert and asked what their plans are for winter break. Mattia said he was helping his boyfriend move in and then hanging out w him for the most part. Robert said he was working so he can get a new car. I told them i was going to NZ for a surprise trip my mon wanted to do. I was actually really excited cause i had never been out of the states so NZ sounds really cool.
Ive been trying to tell Mar but apparently I'm not important enough so I just stopped trying. I leave in 2 days and I haven't even packed my bags yet. what am I gonna do...

ughhhhh I sluggishly turned my alarm off checking the time '2:30 AM' I groaned slowly getting up and grabbing a towel for a shower. When I got out I heard my mom taking her luggage out to the car and turning the car on to heat it up.
 When I was ready to go it was 3:15 AM and our flight was at 5:00 AM we quickly said good-bye to everyone and headed off to get some breakfast before going to the airport. By the time we got to the airport it was 4:00 AM so we checked ourselves and our bags in and waited till it was time to board our plane.
While we were waiting I started texting our group chat:
