"That looks amazing MK!" Mei cheered, running over to her brother and tackling him into a hug, the pair laughing as the dragon girl swung the simian teen around in excitement, only for the group to freeze up as the door to the ship opened, sighing in relief when they realized it was only a very sleepy Sandy and Mo.

After checking out the ship to make sure it was stable, Macaque concluded that it could only seat five people, much to the dismay of the others, who all came together to select the group of people that would go.
Said group ended up being Pigsy, Wukong, MK, Red Son and Ming, something which Wukong wasn't very enthusiastic about for two reasons.
One, he didn't want his four-year-old going on any space related adventures, to which even more gods could find out about her existence. It was bad enough Ao Guang knew, he didn't want to risk anyone else finding out. But Mei made it a point that Chang'e had been banished from heaven a long time ago, and therefore couldn't make any contact with the gods. Plus, Monkey King couldn't keep her out of the prying eyes of Heaven forever, especially not with the Lady Bone Demon running around, so might as well let Ming do some exploring. And besides, she was with some very powerful guardians, what could go wrong? Therefore, Ming stayed in the group.
And two...he didn't want Red Son coming along, because he could just see the way that Bull-boy looked at his cub....it was the same way the ginger monkey looked at Mac when he first developed a crush for the black furred general. All lovey-dovey....No way was he allowing that to happen.
Most would think that Wukong disliked the red clad teen based off of who his father was, which actually wasn't true, as the simian king only held grudges against the person--or demon--he fought against, not that of their family or friends...unless they got involved. Red Son was only a child when the two animal demons fought, so said golden eyed king held no sort of grudge against the child.....
It was just that Monkey King had such high standards, that he thought nobody could ever be perfect enough for any of his kids...those being Mei, MK and Ming. So no, Red Son was certainly NOT good enough for his son. Not now, not ever.
But Macaque didn't give him an option, saying that having Red Son was important, seeing as the teen needed to forge a 'bond' with his old magic, to allow a safe and stable connection to the rings, otherwise he might get hurt during the ritual.
So with a huff, Monkey King begrudgingly accepted and they seated themselves into the rocket, with Pigsy double checking a few things with the shadow king, "You sure that we don't need space suits?"
The dual eyed male gave a chuckle, "Yes I'm sure, Chang'e's place has a natural layer of oxygen around it that formed over the time of her living there...how else do you think she grows the plants she uses in her recipes?"
"Fair point," The chef hummed, before bidding his friends and husband farewell, and seating himself next to Wukong.
"Everyone okay back there?" Monkey King turned his head back to check in on the kids, who all gave him a thumbs up from where they sat, Ming being the most enthusiastic of them. "Alright then!~ Let's go!~"
