I sprung up out of bed, and the second I did, my room door flew open. It was Christopher, and the same thing was on both of our minds.
"Let's battle!" We both said at the same time.

After we both got dressed, we immediately ran to the battlefield. Christopher and I stood on opposite sides of each other, and Mr. Kaplan and Ilesan watched.
"You two sure were eager." Ilesan said. "I like that about both you! Your flame for battle is always ignited!"
"Christopher, it's time to show everything that I've taught you and Blaziken." Mr. Kaplan said to Christopher.
"I won't let you down sir." Christopher said, then he turned his attention towards me. "I've wanted to battle you since the cookout Platinum, back when my Blaziken was just a Torchic."
"Really?" I said.
"Yeah." Christopher nodded. "And now that we're here, I refuse to lose to you!"
Christopher threw out his Poké Ball and his Blaziken appeared.
"Blae!" Blaziken cried.
"Okay Platinum stick it to em'!" Ilesan smiled.
I got out Charizard's Poké Ball. Our first time using Mega Evolution... let's do this!"
"Charizard let's go!" I threw out my Poké Ball and Charizard appeared.
"Raaauuwwrr!" It roared as it landed on the battlefield.
"Let's prove to them that our firepower far exceeds theirs Blaziken!" Christopher said.
"Ziken!" Blaziken nodded.
"Rauwr!" Charizard looked back at me.
I smiled.
"No way we're losing Charizard." I said as I looked at me keystone. "Today, we're reaching new heights of strength!"
"Battle begin!" Mr. Kaplan yelled.
"Use flamethrower!" Christopher and I both yelled at the same time.
"Rauuwwr!"
"Ziken!" Charizard and Blaziken both spewed a stream of flames from their mouths, the fire attacks seared against each other, creating a fiery explosion.

"Raaauuwwrr!" Charizard roared as it fired flamethrower once more.
"Jump high!" Christopher yelled.
