out of nowhere a hand was placed on valencia's shoulder. the girl quickly pushed herself off the wall, spinning around to face whoever had placed their hand on her shoulder.

"jesus christ, isaac!" valencia yelled when she saw her best friend stood with wide eyes and his arms stretched out infront of him for valencia to calm down.

"what's wrong, val? are you okay?" isaac asked with a concerned look on his face, his hand falling back down to his side. he watched the terrified on valencia's face slowly fade away and instead, turn into relief at the sight of him.

valencia let out a heavy sigh, spinning around to look around her. but everything she'd seen seconds before was now replaced with the school again. "yeah..." valencia trailed off, distracted by her own thoughts, the voices yelling in her head. "i'm fine."

"you're not." isaac shook his head and valencia sighed. one thing about isaac and valencia's friendship was that isaac could always see through valencia's lies. he knew her better than she knew herself, so it was clear to him that she was lying.

"don't worry about it. it was nothing." valencia shook her head at isaac, "now come on, i want to watch you and liam practice." valencia took isaac by the arm and began to drag him down to the lacrosse pitch, ignoring the sickening feeling brewing in her stomach.

valencia ran down the stairs of her house, hearing the voice of the true alpha downstairs. valencia held a confused expression on her face, confused to as why scott was in her house. he hadn't text her or anything to say he was coming over.

"just a few questions. five minutes." scott begged and valencia reached the bottom of the stairs, standing in the wide doorway of the sitting room.

"you know what? you don't just 'talk' to this guy!" noah finally snapped at scott, losing his patience with the young mccall boy. "okay?" scott looked at noah with a desperate look. "find another way," noah shook his head.

"but what if this is the only way?" scott asked the sheriff desperately, trying to find a way to get him on the same side. malia stood slightly behind scott and valencia turned her head when lydia walked up beside her and brushed her hand against hers.

"scott, you have your answer." claudia announced from where she was sat on the couch. valencia ignored the woman, for some reason she felt strange around claudia. she couldn't figure out why.

"sheriff, please." scott continued to beg and lydia rushed to his side infront of noah who shook his head frustratedly.

"scott." claudia shot up from the couch to stand beside her husband. valencia stepped forward with furrowed eyebrows, still not knowing what was happening.

"what's going on?" valencia asked curiously and everyone glanced over at her. malia sent a sympathetic smile, taking a gentle hold of her hand and squeezing it. valencia looked to scott for an answer who sighed in defeat.

"the answer's no." noah denied to which lydia, malia and scott all shared gazes of disappointment. the trio began to make their way out of the stilinski household, leaving behind the stilinskis.

"i'm coming." valencia's announced and the pack stopped to wait for the girl who slid on her converse quickly.

"where are you going, val?" claudia called out for valencia who shrugged her shoulders at the woman and exited through the front door, sending her parents one last glance.
