Midoriya had expected to see the darkness again, the two doors, or at least the room which he'd woken up from, but as he should have expected, he woke up without any memory of any possible dream he might've had.

It was a dream, but it left something cold in him. He wasn't the type of person who got nightmares, although he couldn't quite judge because he wasn't one for horror stories and movies, but he could only guess that this was one of them. What made it so unsettling, though? He wasn't sure. The darkness? The creature? The worn out state of everything?

Was it something about growing old? Seemed a little irrelevant, to be honest, and Midoriya couldn't quite take the 'theme' behind his nightmare seriously. And so, with renewed confidence, he stood up from his bed. It was silly, really, to be putting so much thought into it in the first place. It didn't make any more sense than a normal dream did, anyway.

Sauntering down the stairs to eat breakfast and find Ochako, he placidly noticed the way everyone had disappeared from the living room after he'd walked into it in the morning. He also noticed the soldiers standing beside the windows, their backs turned but rifles ready. Other than that, everything was quite calm and peaceful. He didn't mind things being this way. It was actually quite ideal, to be perfectly honest.

Of course, that wasn't going to last. What surprised him more, though, was the reason for its abrupt stop.

"Hey, Midoriya." Midoriya slowly lowered his chopsticks as he closed his eyes, doing his best to calm down. This was fine. It was just a greeting. For all he knew, the blond meant well.

"Hey." Midoriya greeted Togata quietly as the older male walked up to him, sitting across from him at the table with a small smile.

"Listen, I just wanted to apologize about what happened yesterday." Togata started, sighing as he leaned back in his chair. "They didn't tell me that was going to happen. Sir Nighteye said he's going to talk to Nezu about it."

"You think he'll be able to do anything?" Midoriya questioned with a small scoff. "You're funny if you think that will work, dear prince of hope." Midoriya kept on eating, doing his best to not pay any mind at the long stare that Togata gave him.

"So I guess you've heard of the nicknames." Togata said slowly, nodding to himself quietly as she lowered his eyes. Midoriya didn't respond to that, glancing at the kitchen as he wondered what he could get to eat for the sake of gaining some suggestive distance from the blond. Togata seemed to notice, though, and quickly leaned forward, attempting to capture Midoriya's attention. "Listen, I realize you don't like talking or making deals with us–"

"And rightfully so." Midoriya interrupted, standing up and heading towards the kitchen as he spoke. "You don't seem to like letting me in on some quite crucial details you made up along the way. All I knew is that you'd let me fight against Shigaraki."

"Midoriya, I know you're frustrated but I'm sure they had their reasons...I mean, yes, it's inexcusable, but they must've thought you were dangerous when they attacked you. You can prove otherwise!" Togata attempted to apologize while encouraging Midoriya to listen to him, standing up to follow Midoriya as the latter pursed his lips in annoyance.

"What if I don't want to?" Midoriya questioned, genuinely interested but making sure his tone was evidently sarcastic. "What would you do then?"

"It would be better for all of us if we could get along." Togata clearly avoided the question, and Midoriya could only roll his eyes. "It's only a few questions, right? What harm will they bring you?"

"Well, first off, that wasn't a part of the deal, and maybe I wouldn't have accepted if I knew that you would try to ask me about my quirk, All for One, the Paranormal Liberation Front, or all of the above." Midoriya began, gesturing with his free hand in the air as he spoke. "Second off, the truth clearly isn't what they're interested in hearing."
