Cameron and I rushed through his window and down the stairs of the house. The screams from downstairs got louder and louder the closer we got. Everyone's door was open telling me that everyone was probably awake, not that you could sleep in all of the racket.
My door seemed to be closed. I guessed that my brothers thought I wasn't awake and they didn't want me downstairs for this. They were really protective when it came to stuff like this. They were protective of Ben as well but as various brothers have explained a couple of times, I'm a girl and therefore need to be protected more.
Sexist.
I've gotten to see the world enough to which I know that those are outdated thoughts and more than one person would be super mad at them if they voiced that opinion to the entire world.
"Stay here!" Cameron yelled at me pushing me back a little bit before rushing down the stairs.
No way.
There was no way in hell I would just stay there while everything was happening so I rushed down the stairs after my brother. Once I got down I saw the man I was hoping would not be here but the second I heard screaming I knew he was.
My father.
I cam down the stand on the last step of the stairs where I could see all of my brothers in the living room. My father present as well.
He looked very drunk and high and was wobbling around the room yelling things. Chris was there trying to keep him away from the rest of our brothers. West stood a little to the side of Chris ready to jump in if necessary but it seemed our father just wanted to talk some nonsense. Sam, Spencer, and Ben were behind Chris a little just observing the situation. I didn't fail to notice, however, that Spencer had a firm grip on Ben's arm. Keeping him close by.
Cameron rushed out standing next to Chris.
Seeing as Dylan isn't here, Cameron became the next oldest meaning that stepping in is his job.
"What the fuck is he doing here?!" Cameron screamed at our brother keeping a close eye on our father at the same time.
"Do you think I fucking invited him!" Chris screamed back. Chris didn't really cuss a lot so I was surprised that he did, but this did warrant cussing, if any situation did.
Suddenly a hand grabbed my arm and yanked me into a body. I looked up frightened and on edge at the sudden rough movement. Sam was standing above me putting me behind him and taking a protective stance.
"It's my house, son," My father suddenly spoke up, his words directed at Cameron. Cameron, Chris, and my father started arguing but I couldn't hear them seeing as the rest of my brothers were talking to me.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" West questioned coming to stand in front of me so him, the twins, Ben, and I were in a sort of circle. He didn't wait for my answer though as he yanked my arm towards the stairs. "Never mind. You shouldn't be here! Ben, you and Beatrice go upstairs and stay there!" West ordered. I tried to step away from the little circle we had formed in order to see what was going on with Chris, Cameron, and my father better when Spencers hand clutched my arm pulling me back before fixing me with a hard glare. Silently telling me that there was no way I was getting out of this mini-discussion.
"No!" Ben and I protested at the same time.
"This isn't up for discussion!" Sam yelled, pushing Ben and I a little away.
"Stop, you know we aren't going to go up. We want to be here too!" I argue my case to my three older brothers. All of my brothers are protective but when our dad comes home or something comes up with one of our parents they go into overdrive.
