. "Thanks for the burgers," (y/n) smiles at his mother, himself and Kevin removing themselves from the table. "We'll leave you guys be now. It was really nice, but, uh, bye!" The two turn to leave, but turn around again to see Frank staring at them.

"Ugh, what now?" Kevin rolls his eyes, his father scoffing softly.

"Look, you two are fifteen, right?"

"I'm sixteen!" Kevin snaps, Frank rolling his eyes at him.

"Whatever, your moms want you two to join our annual baseball game," Frank folds his arms, Kevin's gaze softening as he speaks. "Beth said you'd like to play, always love hitting things, she said." He forces a smile, his voice almost forcefully gentle. (y/n) glances at Kevin with a concerned look in his eyes, secretly despising the sport, but he stays quiet.

"That..." Kevin looks back at his father, a smile forming, "sounds fun!" Dammit. (y/n) gulps silently and nods slowly, watching as Frank's lips moves, but all he could hear is his heart thumping in his ears. As he blinks, he finds himself in the back of his mother's car, Kevin chatting beside him and his mother at the wheel. He turns to his friend and nods, his hearing coming back to him. "What do you think?" He asks, excitement in his eyes.

"About?..." (y/n) asks slowly, voice soft. Elizabeth giggles.

"I was asking if you'd want to get our very own band t-shirts together," Kevin sums up his discussion, the two remaining in the car as Beth climbs out. "You know, because you might talk to Vic about your music and all."

"That would be cool, but we... we don't have a band." He shrugs and stares down at his lap, scratching the back of his neck.

"Well, I spoke to Bolo and Lex, they said they'd think about having you," Kevin clears his throat, "And if they're still dildos about it, I wouldn't mind quitting their band again. We can make our own band! Be the first band of two!" He smiles gently, touching his friend's shoulder. "Wouldn't that be nice? I'd love to be in a band with my best friend, you know?" (y/n) sets a hand on his and chuckles softly.

"Yeah, I know, I'd like that too, I just thought you would rather be in a band with your other friends."

"We sing songs I hate, I don't like my position and they don't respect me for leaving the third time." The guy shrugs and slides closer to his side of the car, hand on the door handle. "Plus, it'd be cool singing songs with you, man, writing songs we both like and stuff."

(y/n) smiles and nods, opening his door. "Sounds good, Kev, I'd like that." The boys join the group, Evelyn eyeing the transvestite as he wanders over the cut grass, eyes idolizing Kevin. The teens continue their chatter, but break eye contact at the sound of Frank's voice from the end of the baseball field, everyone moving to their usual spots they'd start off with.

"Boys versus girls like last year?" He asks, looking between everyone. Beth and Sue share a look, nodding towards Frank.

"Hey, Frank. Can I be on the girls' team?" Vic queries Francis, eyes roaming towards Elizabeth's direction as she spins around and grins at Sue with a silly pose - the two laughing softly afterwards along. "I think I wanna spend some more quality time with Beth, she's my little sugar cookie, you know, brother? A brother needs to talk with his sister."
