"Alright! That's enough." Mackenzie says loudly to stop others. Others moves back like puppets as she crouches down in front of Ivy's face.

"Tsk. I feel so much pity for you. I swear it's true. For your own better sake keep your distance from Alessio or I swear to god-"

They drives away leaving Ivy to suffer.

Chapter 8

Alessio immediately senses that something is wrong when he doesn't see Ivy present in the class. He tells his mind that maybe she is physically not well. Perhaps it is fever or some flue when she still doesn't come after three days.

"What's wrong with you?" Denver asks Alessio as he relaxes on the couch and lights a cigarette. He and his father and older brother had noticed that he hasn't been looking good lately.

"Nothing!" Alessio responses dryly and repeatedly hits the punching bag acting ignorant to the blood that is spilling down from his split knuckles.

"Is it about Ivy?" Alessio freezes on the spot for a second before continuing with the punching again.

"It isn't!"

"Don't lie to me!" Denver rolls his eyes and puffs out the smoke.

"If you are really so worried about her, why shouldn't you go to the orphanage and meet her?" Alessio again pauses at his words and looks back at him.

"You know that she is orphan! It means you also know that which orphan it is." Denver doesn't responds but continues to smoke while completely ignoring his brother.

"You are coming with me!" Alessio grabs his arm and drags him behind himself.

Denver rolls his eyes when after what seemed like forever the door of the orphanage finally opens. But on the other hand Alessio gets more inpatient and edgy.

"Hello? How may I help you?" A girl might be near 15-16 asks them politely.

"Ivy! Is Ivy here?" Her eyes widens at Alessio's words. She grips the door tightly.

"Umm m-may I know who might you be?"

"I am Alessio! H--" The door is slammed shut at their faces. Denver narrows his eyes

"This bitch just didn't!"

The door again slowly opens a little bit and girl's voice whisper to them slowly.

"I am sorry for being rude but I think you should leave. Ivy doesn't wish to meet you. It's best that you stay away from her." Cherry tells them in a small tone. Then the door is fully closed again.

****************

A week later, Alessio is surprised to see her finally in the school. He makes his way towards her but it irks him when she doesn't even look at him. Knowing that she don't want to talk to him, he doesn't try to start any conversation.

Ivy is on her way to cafeteria when suddenly her way is blocked by Denver.

"What's going on? What's the matter with you? First you and my brother were like besties forever and now suddenly you are ignoring him like he don't even exist!" It's the first time Denver is talking to her but he looks so angry.

Ivy casts her gaze down and does not answers. In the corner of her eye, she sees Emma staring at her.

"You used to talk nonstop but now you are quiet like one of your family member died! Oh wait! Right, you don't even have any family." Denver's words really made her tear up. She looks up at him and whispers a small sorry. She silently walks past him.

On her way back home, her way is again blocked by her bullies. She is dragged into the seclude area. It was an abandoned building.

"First Alessio and now Denver?" Emma comments with her tone filled with disgust. She pushes Ivy down on the ground and they all starts to beat her up again. This time the beating goes on for extra long time.

When her body is barely moveable, Mackenzie tells them to stop. She slams her heel on Ivy's back.

"Now look there! This will happen to you if you again tried to go against my words." She forces Ivy to look in the front where they throw kerosene on her bicycle.

"No." She whimpers weakly as Emma throws a burning matchstick on top of it.

Tears streamed down Ivy's face uncontrollably as she struggles to reach near Coco to save it from burning.

"Coco!" She cries out loudly.

"Now this lesson better stay fix in your mind! Leave her here for tonight and one of us will let her out tomorrow. Let's go everyone." Mackenzie rolls her eyes.

"C-coco...." Ivy whimpers and crawl towards it. She tries to stop the fire but ends up burning her own hands badly. She drops her head down on the ground near it when she realizes that nothing would be able to save Coco. She cries helplessly watching it burn.

Few hours later****

"Godfather! This is the place I was talking about. Jus--" Lucifer Santiago just nodded to whatever the dealer was saying. Valentino was also standing beside him and looking at the abandoned building's old rusty metal gate. There was Eliza, Micah and other guards present too.

"I can't wait for you to take a look inside. This whole property just wholly describes your wishes." The dealer's wrinkly smile is evident on his face as he and the guards pushes the door open with a slight difficulty.
