Chapter 38: It's Final!!

                                                                  Melody's POV
It's been about three weeks since I was released from the hospital.
My body has healed and I'm feeling better, but I'm still on the medication the doctors told me I have to take.
I'm back at my loft apartment, throughout the weeks Alex has been staying here with me. 
While I greatly appreciate it, he has his own things to do especially when it comes to the startup of his own career.
After I was released from the hospital, everyone tried to stay but I told them to continue doing what they were doing. I don't want to be the reason why they had to put some many things on hold.
So, here I am, sitting on my couch catching up on any work that I missed from my job, and it was a lot.
Fortunately, my boss gave me an extension to finish up everything by the end of the week, so I'm glad its a Monday.
2 hours later...
I have to take a break from working, its starting to become overwhelming.
As I grab my phone to order food, the lock on my front door clicks, I start to panic but it quickly settles when Alex comes through the door.
"Hi my love, I brought you food just in case you forgot to eat again like yesterday." Alex says, giving me a kiss on my forehead as he sits down next to me.
"Thanks babe, I thought you were gonna be busy all day, what happened?" I say, as Alex nans me my food and I began eating.
"Well, turns out, the pieces from my collection sold, but I have to tell you something though. I didn't want to make a decision without letting you know first." Alex says, looking nervous.
"Congratulations, what decision?" I ask, waiting for him to say something.
"I have to travel and move places again, therefore I would want you to decide if you are able to come with me or stay here in Boston and we'll work out everything long distance?" Alex says, seriously.
"Where do you have to travel to and how long will it be?" I ask, seriously still taking small bites of my food.
"I'm in Italy for three months and then I have to go to France for three months as well. But I don't expect you to drop everything you have here in Boston. We'll make everything work out." Alex says, in a reassuring tone.
Now that I realize, there's nothing really left for me here in Boston anyway, and I've always wanted to travel. However, I'd be leaving my job here, and it'll be hard finding another job.
Then again, I could work on my photography skills there, and I think it was about time to leave Boston anyway. I came here on bad terms with everything and everyone I knew but now things have gotten better.
"Of course I'll come with you, babe but while we're there don't overwork yourself, just try and enjoy it." I say, with a smile as Alex looks shocked but happy.
"Are you absolutely sure, Mel?" Alex says, happy but sounding worried.
"Yes I am, so when do we leave?" I ask, putting my food down as I hug against him on the couch.
"In two weeks, and thank you!" Alex says, kissing my forehead.
"For what?" I say confused.
"For being my first everything, I love you." Alex says, sincerely.
"Thank you for not giving up me, I love you too." I say, wholeheartedly.
