The infected jump through the windows while screaming, clicking and groaning. They charge forward one after the other, undeterred by the heavy gunfire echoing in the air and the bullets flying towards them. For every one killed, another two would break in and attempt to attack the trio.

Olivia felt her heart race with every sound filling her ears, even more so when she dug her knife deep in the chest of a clicker that was pinning Ellie to a far wall beside a broken out window. She stepped back while breathing heavily, her eyes meeting with Ellie's. "You okay?" she asked to which the teen nodded.

"They're coming through the window to your right!" David called out to the pair as he fought off a pair of runners with his pistol and fists alone.

The two girls whipped around, lifting their weapons and firing off shots at the group of runners and clickers climbing through the windows. It took more bullets than Olivia would have liked but eventually they managed to take every one of them out before David turned to the two.

"You weren't kidding. You're a better shot with that thing than I am," he praised Ellie as he paced the small space within the building before turning and gripping a large metal green cabinet. He motions to Olivia and Ellie, "Gimme a hand with this," he requests. However, when Ellie attempts to step forward to assist him, Olivia extends an arm; stopping the girl short of it.

"He can handle it," she mumbles to the girl with a gesturing nod to the cabinet David had already moved halfway in front of the window he intended to block. "We need to keep a look out for more infected and keep our guards up." she sent the girl a pointed look, flickering her gaze to the older man in a manner that made her feelings clear.

"Okay," Ellie agreed breathily.

"Good," Olivia nodded with a small smile, "we ain't dying today," she promised.

"I know," Ellie replied as David finished sliding along the cabinet. The two watched him closely as he reloaded his pistol and searched a nearby drawer, almost in a panic. His movements were quick and clearly led by fear. He wasn't nearly as composed in the face of danger as the two girls were.

"We got more coming from this side," Ellie warned as she reloaded the rifle and kept it trained on the approaching runners to the left of the building.

Olivia stood beside her with her pistol raised and her hunting knife in her other hand. She stared ahead whilst also keeping close track of the creepy man in the room with them, going as far as to step between he and Ellie whenever he got uncomfortably close to her.

Again, just like they had before, the infected pile through the broken windows without hesitance. They rushed forward, twitching violently and making a bee line for the girls. Together, as a co-operating team, the two kill them using the rifle and Olivia's arrows. It takes a good five minutes before the room clears and the screams outside sound more distant. It's in this split second of silence that Olivia mentally decides that they need to leave the confinement of the small building.

"Screw it. We're gettin' out of this room." David suddenly announced; saying exactly what Olivia was thinking as though he had read her mind.

He turned abruptly and kicked open a boarded up steel door as Olivia quickly retrieved all her none broken arrows from the bodies scattered around the room. She looked up when she felt Ellie beside her, waiting impatiently for her with a worried expression. "Alright, this way." the older man calls over his shoulder as he sprints down the short hallway, narrowly avoiding the infected that break through the window with there arms reaching in.

Olivia stood and gripped Ellie's hand in hers as fear ran through her veins and that protective flare again rose up in her heart. She took off in a sprint when two clickers broke through the door of the small building, pulling Ellie down the hallways and up the stairs with her. She pushed the girl ahead when they reached the top of the staircase, then, after David instructed the teen to cover them, she helped him slide a large and heavy metal cabinet to the side - blocking the stairs as Ellie fired one shot at a clicker that almost reached her.
