Skye and rocky quickly made their way back to the lookout to see what Everest needed 
“ok, Everest I'm here,” skye said looking around for Everest 
“ok good you two follow me,” Everest said as she lead them behind the lookout 
“So why did you need both of us Everest,” asked rocky 
“you'll see”
As they reach behind the lookout skye notice an old looking pink pup house with ryder standing next to it 
“what the? Skye said while examining her pup house 
“yep this is your pup house, or what's left of it,” said rocky 
“What happens to it,” she asked 
“well it's been 4 years since we last brought it up from the basement,” ryder said while dusting it off 
“But I can't sleep in my pup while is all dirty and can it even transform into my helicopter,?” she asked 
“well no I'm sorry skye but that's why I need you rocky to help fix it,”ryder asked 
“me? How am I going to fix this ryder” rocky said 
“well I was hoping you can fix it up” begged ryder 
“I don't know ryder I don't have any new parts to fix it,” said rocky 
“well, I was hoping if you can-” 
“don't you dare say it,” rocky said cutting off ryder 
“come on rocky I know you don't want to but at least try to see what you can do” asked Everest 
“Sorry I gave up using recycled parts to fix anything ok” rocky said as he walks away 
“what now ryder,” asked skye 
“ I thought this may happen so I think know someone who can help,” said ryder 
“who?” asked skye “I'm going to make a call just wait here,” he said as he walked away and pulled his tablet out 
“Everest do you know who is calling?” she asked her best friend 
“I might know who, you'll just have to wait,” Everest said to her friend 
After a few minutes, ryder and Everest see a familiar face pull up to the lookout but for skye, this dog is unknown to her 
“she's here,” ryder said as she walked up to them 
“it's good to see you,” she then looks at skye “skye is that you?” she asked 
“yeah it's me who are you,” skye asked “it been that long huh,” she said 
“skye this is gasket,” said ryder 
“gasket!?? You've changed,” she let out 
“well 4 years is a lot of time but look at you, all grown up, what happened, last I heard you disappeared,” she asked 
“it's a long story I explain everything later but we need your help gasket,” the teenage boy asked 
“with what?” said gasket “we need help fix Skye's pup house so it can transform back into her helicopter,” the boy said 
“I get that but why do you need me if  you have rocky” asked gasket 
“rocky won't fix it with recycled parts but I know you can,” said ryder 
“he still on that,” she said receiving a nod from them 
“fine I'll help,” she said “thank you gasket,” said skye 
Gasket beings to work on Skye's pup house trying to fix it 
“hey I have a question,” asked skye “shoot” gasket said “when did you become nice” she instantly covers her muzzle with her paw 
“what?” she asked in confusion “no that's not what I meant- I mean when did you start doing good things,” she asked nervously 
“it was a while back ryder called and asked my help when rocky was depressed and wouldn't leave his pup house so I started to help on missions for a while,” she said while working on Skye's pup house 
“wow but what about the ruff-ruff pack” as she asked that question she see  gasket pause for a moment 
“um we had a falling out and went our separate ways eventually I stay here and then ryder called for me,” she said 
After a few hours 
“So how close are we,” skye asked 
“to be honest I'm not sure I need more time,” said gasket   
“ok I'll come back later I'm going to see what Everest is doing” when skye left gasket to fix her pup house
Rocky then watches gasket and as he is watching her it reminds him of his younger self trying to help save the planet by recycling 
But he can see that she is struggling so he checks on her 
“hey gasket,” said rocky “oh hey rocky how is it going” she replied 
“it's going ok but I see your struggling,” he said “well it's hard trying to fix this old thing with spare parts”
“gasket don't you ever think using spare parts is bad or reusing it,” he said 
“no, because I remember a pup that said don't lose it reuse it,” she said 
“I haven't said that in a long time,” he said “well I remember it,” she said as she turns to face him 
“Yeah but I'll  rather just buy a new helicopter at this point no new parts to fix it with and spare parts or recycled one just will fail”
“rocky you are just saying that because you still blame yourself for that mission long ago,” she said making him freeze for a sec 
“gasket do you know how it feels when someone is right about you saying recycling is useless and it fails you”
“rocky do you know how many times my inventions have failed and how many times I got yelled at for it,” she said 
“no”
“well it was a lot, but I never stop because building and using spare or recycled parts is what I do, it is my passion ” gasket then puts one paw on rocky shoulder 
“as engineers, we learned from our errors and improve so we can be better, not just for us but to help everyone it's what we do,” she said while looking into rocky eyes 
Rocky backs up for a moment and thinks about what skye said back at the train track and after hearing gasket 
“Hmm,” he said, “you think about that ok while I work on skye pup house”
Before he walks away 
“you know two sets of paws are better than one,” he said with a smile 
“then let's get to it,” gasket said as he get next to her and get to work 
From a distance chase. jr is watching everything 
“wow, she really has helped dad's friend maybe it's now time to help dad” chase. jr said going back to his dad
