3rd person's POV
Marcy walked to the school gates before spotting her friend Ibrahim and going against him.

"Hey!"

"Hey." He grinned back, before looking suspicious.

"Somethings different..."

"What?"

"Have you changed your hair?" He asked and leaned on.

"What? No!" She said, and he touched her hair.

"You have! I've known you since like sixth grade, you look different—" He said but Marcy pushed his hands off.

"What's different is that you're messing with it." She said, and he messed it up even more.

"Don't worry, I'm a highly qualified hair stylist!" He joked.

"Qualified from where?"

He paused before saying. "The university of... Hair stylists."

She fixed her hair a little before saying. "Wow... yeah seems legit."

They both laughed and he said. "Anyways, gotta go, I have morning detention."

He ruffled her hair before leaving.

The bell rang as Anne walked through the halls, with a smile on her face, as she headed towards her home room, and she saw Marcy already sitting down, as she took off her coat, she smiled up at her before she sat down.

"Hi."

"Hi."

They smiled at each other before softly laughing and looking away.

Troy sat at his table as Devin sat down next to him. "Good morning!"

Twig looked back at the two, as Devin noticed Troy's eyes on him. "What?"

He looked away before looking back and pecking his lips.

"Oh... hi." He smiled.

"Hi,"

"Is this how it's gonna be now? Am I officially the third wheel?"

"We're finally taking the opportunity to kiss as much as possible!" Devin said as the other boy laughed.

"No, we're not."

They laughed together before chattering as Twig looked down at his phone and saw his messages with Ivanna.

Ivanna
Hi I miss you

Twig
Miss you too!!!!

He set down his phone with a smile on his face.

It was lunch, and Anne had walked to the art classroom with her lunch in her hands as the teacher stopped her.

"There's a girl in there, waiting for you."

"Oh, yeah." She smiled.

"Is it the secret girlfriend or the straight girl crush?" The teacher asked.

"She's... on the football team, I joined the football team."

"Mhm... of course you did," She laughed.

"Well, don't get any crumbs on the floor or I'll be told off by the janitors again." She said before leaving.

Anne walked into the classroom and smiled once she saw Marcy sitting down already.

"Hi."

"Hi! I missed you."

Anne sat down next to her and said. "I saw you in home room like four hours ago,"

"You're sure your friends don't mind you ditching them for me?" She asked.

"No, they can deal with it, clearly I need to be here to get tips on how to be good at football,"

"Oh, really? So that's what this is actually all about then?"

"Maybe," She joked back as they laughed.

They held hands under the table as Anne brought them closer.

"It feels nice to ditch my friends for once, especially for you. All they want to do at lunch is sit at the field and throw things at people,"

"Throw things?"

"Yep, mainly Hailey, she's an idiot."

"My friends are nothing like you..." She said and looked at her.

She looked away and around the class while saying. "Are we even allowed to be here?"

"Yeah, I used to come in here a lot last year, like... when the bullying was pretty bad, the art teacher was the only teacher who really cared at all."

"Well... She was sending me evil looks before you got here,"

"She must've thought you were Maggie."

"I told her about the Maggie keeping us a secret thing..."

Marcy paused before looking at the floor with guilty eyes.

"Not— I mean, that's nothing like what we're doing." She said and grabbed her hand, which made Marcy meet her eyes.

"You're nothing like her, this is completely different." She said, and Marcy gave her a nervous smile.

"Yeah."
