Steve was a gentleman, you had been on three dates with the hero, not only haven't you kissed him yet, he was so nervous to even hold your hand, something you took initiative of on your second date.
Steve had taken you to a show, the nearby theater was showing old 40s films, you didn't mind however, you just liked to be in his company."Thank you, enjoy the show" The ticket master handed you two ticket stubs and you walked inside.
"At least it's warm in here" You shivered as you removed your hat and scarf.
"Why didn't you say you cold?" Steve hugged you from the side, trying to warm you up.
"I don't know, I was trying to impress you I guess" You whispered the last bit of your sentence.
"Y/n you aren't a supper solider, we don't get cold like you would"
"I forget you and me are so different, we should head into the movie"As you head into the theater with Steve, a bunch of teens come in the theater, talking and shouting, you roll your eyes at the three boys who came down at sat right in front.
You saw Steve shift uncomfortably, knowing he was bothered by the kids. "Steve don't, I know they are annoying, let's just enjoy the movie"
Steve's fist clenched. "They do this on purpose, even back then kids would just come in and cause a mess"
"I'm sorry" You snuggle up into Steve's chest. The movie began and everyone got quiet, breathing out you enjoy at least half of the movie before the kids start to laugh and throw popcorn around, Steve sat forward, waiting for his moment to confront them. You couldn't stop him from getting out of his seat, Steve stood behind the boys grabbing them by their jacket collars pulling them up.
"You know it's not everyday I have to teach young kids a lesson in manners, do your parents know you're being disrespectful in a theater?"
The one kid who was left sitting noticed who Steve was. "No sir, please don't tell our parents, we'll leave I promise"
Steve let go of the kids shirt and they scrambled away. "Jesus"Steve sat down again and I tried to get comfortable against him but he was ridged, on edge from the altercation.
I grabbed my purse and coat. "Steve, do you want to leave?"
Steve huffed, knowing what he did would cause a scene. "I'll buy you dinner"
"Sounds fair, come on, back into the cold we go" I threw on my coat.———
It had started snowing, the first snow of the year in New York and you both were standing in the middle of it, walking away from the theater, you found yourselves at the local park, it was dark now but the Christmas lights made it bright, the snow sparkling under us.
"If it wasn't so cold it would be beautiful" You crossed your arms, cold from being outside.
"You are beautiful Y/N" You turned your head around to face Steve.
You couldn't believe Steve had said that, he had been so reserved the first few dates. "What?"Steve leaned down, gently tipping your chin to the sky, letting the snowflakes run about your face, he left a kiss on your lips, looking back at you, Steve smiled, giving you a sense of reinsurance.
"Steve" You pause, drawing your gaze across his face. "I mean it, you are so beautiful" Steve's hand was large against your face, feeling the warmth come from him.
You lean up to kiss him again, standing on your toes just to barely reach his lips, you giggle at your attempt to kiss him.
"We can work on that" Steve scooped down and lifted you up out of the snow, carrying you out of the park.
