Clara and Blaze both stared at him in astonishment.

"What?" Blaze whispered.

"He's wanted in Thelon," the lead guard explained casually, "for stealing from your father's own library."

"The book." Clara breathed out as she glanced at the satchel that Finn was carrying. "You stole it?"

Finn nodded, he didn't lift his gaze to meet hers. "And other things. I told you- I told you I wasn't a good person."

"He also stole the armour." The knight reminded with a glare as he took in Finn's appearance. "Which you appear to have lost. Your highness this boy is a thief through and through, recently we received word that the kingdom he is original from wants him for thieving also."

"Finn." Clara said almost silently. She looked so sad. Disappointed in a way.

Finn sighed. "I'm sorry." He mumbled. "I really am."

"No." Blaze said quietly.

Holding his arms out as he met the knights gaze, he was ready to go now. "Any chance I can make a quick stop on the way back?"

"No." One the knights replied glumly as he quickly fastened the metal cuffs to the horses saddle, uncaring of the injuries that Finn had.

Finn sighed through his teeth.

"Get on a horse." The knight ordered pushing him towards it.

Finn didn't look at the others as he got on, he didn't even send them a glance. He did feel bad, he really did.

They had helped him, protected him and even been willing to take a hit for him, and what had he done?

Lied to them, used them and hurt them.

"Your highness." One of the knights bowed gesturing to the horse he was stood by. "We must get you home."

"Yes." Clara whispered stepping forward.

It felt like a heavy crushing weight had been placed on his chest. He felt like he couldn't breathe properly.

"Finn? What's going on?" Cole suddenly asked and Finn couldn't look at him. He couldn't breathe.

He felt detached from the world around him.

"Finn Drall is under arrest for theft and breaking and entering the castle." The knight explained as he got onto his own horse next to Finn. "Do you have anything to say to your friends?"

Finn shook his head.

There was many thing to say.

Many things he could have said, like how thankful he was that they all took the time to look after him.

The fact that they even cared for a boy who had no profession and no ambition.

For some reason they cared.

Cared more than he could handle.

"They're not my friends." As much as it hurt to admit he knew it to be the truth. They were just being kind, they would have done this for anyone else who came their way.

Besides he had let them see only certain parts of him, let him fool them, let them believe he was good.

What kind of a friend did that to others? No, he wasn't a friend to them.

"Finn." Natasha whispered stepping closer. The knights all stiffened making her spines bristle in warning. She was still dangerous even with the armoured knights around him. "You're an idiot."
