"So he just asked you to go to this thing and you just said yes, no questions asked and it's a black-tie dinner?" My younger sister Lexa asked me as we were at the dress shop, shopping for a dress for the dinner.
"I didn't know it was black-tie until I looked at the invitation." I said annoyed. I came out of a dressing room in a dress.
"Lace this and tie it." I said and she groaned.
"You are lucky I love you and I gave up my Friday night to come help you find a dress." Lexa said and I groaned.
"And what were your plans, Chinese and a rom com tonight? We can do that after we leave here." I said as she finished tying me up.
"Extra beef and broccoli?" Lexa asked.
"Yes, whatever you want. What do we think of this dress?" I asked and she smiled.
"It's perfect. Beautiful color and I loved the design. I love the flower overlay, it's perfect." Lexa said and I looked in the mirror to make sure if fit everywhere. Lexa grabbed my phone from my purse she was holding and took some pictures without my knowledge.
"Okay, this is the one." I said and Lexa smiled as I went back into the dressing room. Lexa opened her up a text to Andy.
JAYLEE: I found a dress for the event.
ANDY: I'm happy, thank you again for this.
JAYLEE: No problem Mr. Barber. Is this dress okay? 
Lexa sent a picture if the dress 
ANDY: Wow, it's amazing. I have a tie that exact color. Thanks for the head up on what tie to wear.
JAYLEE: No problem. 
Lexa deleted the messages to Andy and then put the phone away when she heard me opening the door to the fitting room.
"Ready to and get some food?" I asked and Lexi smiled.
"Yes please." She said and I laughed as we went and bought the dress and then we left. As I was getting in the car I got a text from Laurie.
LAURIE: Andy said you were but making sure you were coming on Sunday to the dinner?
JAYLEE: Of course, thank you so much again for the invite. You didn't have to.
LAURIE: My pleasure. Can't wait to see you.
JAYLEE: Same here. What should I wear?
LAURIE: Not that formal, just dress slacks or a nice skirt or dress.
JAYLEE: Sounds great. See you Sunday at 6.
Andy had told me the time and I put my phone away.
"I'm sorry when did you become a Barber?" Lexa asked as I put my phone away.
"What?" I asked confused.
"A dinner party at your bosses house? I mean come on." Lexa said.
"What?" I asked even more confused.
"You work for Andy and his wife invites you over for dinner. What is going on? I mean are these people for real?" Lexa asked and I shrugged as we drove to the Chinese place.
"Listen, Andy is taking me to this party because Laurie cant go or something and Laurie is inviting me to this dinner party because I do a lot of work for Andy." I said and Lexa shook her head. We were silent for a couple of minutes.
"Can I ask you something?" Lexa asked.
"Sure." I said.
"No judgement but are you sleeping with Andy?" Lexa asked and I stopped at a red light. I looked at her and punched her in her arm.
"OUCH!" She screamed.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" I asked pissed off.
"Well...I mean dinner at his house, black tie dinner. I have to wonder." Lexa said.
 "You don't have to wonder shit. They are nice people and a nice family." I said and Lexa sighed.
"Okay, I'm sorry." Lexa said as I drove away from the stop light when it turned green. As we reached the Chinese place I got another round of text from the Andy. I was starting to see what Lexa thought. I handed her my credit card.
"You know what I want just order and get whatever you want." I said and she nodded getting out of the car. I grabbed my cellphone.
ANDY: We never discussed how you are to get to the dinner tomorrow.
JAYLEE: I can drive myself Andy, no big deal.
ANDY: No way! I will pick you up at your place at 6pm.
JAYLEE: Oh okay, that should be fine. I will text you my address.
I sent Andy my address in the text.
ANDY: Sounds good see you tomorrow night. Also can I give a little suggestion?
JAYLEE: Of course you can Mr. Barber.
ANDY: Wear your hair up to the event. You always have it down at the office.
I blushed slightly at this comment. I never noticed he paid much attention.
JAYLEE: Of course I can wear my hair up. 
ANDY: Sounds great, see you tomorrow night. 
I put my phone away trying to get rid of the blush that had taken over my cheeks from his comment about my hair. Lexi came out to the car and saw me.
"Were you watching something dirty while I was gone?" She asked as I groaned rolled my eyes at her.
"Sweetie, I do that in the privacy of my own home in my room. Don't need to in my car." I said and she laughed.
"Let's get home. That food smells amazing.

Lexa was staying the night at my place and she was leaving in the morning since he car was at my place. I had picked her up after work so I could change before dress shopping. I was sitting in my room when I got a text on my phone from an unknown number.
UNKNOWN: Heard you are going to be attending the dinner tomorrow night. 
JAYLEE: Who is this? 
UNKNOWN: You don't know have me in your phone? I'm sad Jaylee, I have given you my number numerous amount of times.
I knew who it was instantly and I groaned.
JAYLEE: Mr. Loguidice, how did you get my number?
NEAL: Personal contact info in the system.
JAYLEE: Please lose my number.
NEAL: Save me a dance tomorrow night.
JAYLEE: I will be there with Mr. Barber. I'm sorry.
I then blocked his number and put my phone on my nightstand. Going to this event with Andy was turning into more a hassle than it needed to be. I got comfortable in bed and quickly drifted off to sleep
