"(First name) did you wait long?" Seto asks running towards you and stopping in front of you
"No," You answer shortly, smiling at him. You were waiting for almost thirty minutes but you didn't want to tell him that since you were the one who read his message late that explained he was going to be late because of a meeting
"Are you sure?" He asks, examining your face as you nod
"Really,"
"If you say so," He agrees reluctantly, he just had a gut feeling that he made you wait and that made him feel guilty
"Should we go then?" He asks, holding his hand out as you stare back and forth at his outheld hand and back at him, already feeling embarrassed of your sweaty palms
"Let's go." You agree, high giving him and walking ahead of him
Seto looks at his hand, still processing the high five, were you perhaps not comfortable with skinship?
He shakes his head, you were only at the beginning of your relationship. This kind of things were normal for new couples
"Do you want to eat first?" He asks while walking, turning to look at you who looked like you were in deep thoughts
"Huh?" You ask
"Want to eat first?" He repeats himself, staring at you while he waits for your answer
"Sure!" You answer a little too loudly, "Sorry I got a bit excited," You apologize sheepishly
"It's okay, it's nice to see you look excited." He grins as you take a minute to process when you saw his smile. Really, it was too cute
"Um I think there's a good restaurant nearby." You scratch your throat, "It's also cheap so we can most likely afford it." You change the topic even before he can notice your flustered state. Why did you have to blush with just a smile? Is this how it often is when in a relationship?
"Hey," Seto says as you hum and glance at him
"I forgot to mention earlier but you look really pretty today," He compliments you as you freeze in your steps, already feeling the tips of your ears heating up
"Thank you." You answer meekly as he laughs
"Yes, uh, sorry I was just caught off-guard." You try laughing too but his compliment keeps on repeating inside your head
"There's no need to be embarrassed!" He stops laughing before holding out his hand, "Should we continue walking then?" He smiles as you once again look back and forth between him and his out held hand
You take a deep breath before drying your hand on the top you were wearing before slowly putting your slightly shaking hands on top of him
Seto then intertwines your hands properly, "Let's go then." He smiles at you as you nod, unable to process anything that was happening because of the contact
