The dinner was... interesting.
The food itself was great but the company on the other hand... I mean am I supposed to pretend Jazzlin didn't just confess she's in love with my idiot brother. Meanwhile, Ronnie is going around telling our business -completely against our agreement. Gray and Demi are having relationship problems that I'm now in the middle of and Leroy keeps staring!
I could really use a glass of Tequila at the moment.
"Ruby you haven't touched you drink." Ronnie points out.
I glance down at the alcoholic beverage in front of me. "You're right." I wave over a waitress. "Can I get a glass of lemon water please."
The lady nods and walks away just as I hear Ronnie snort. "Lemon water? Are you on a diet or something."
"Something."
"I'll take this." Gray takes the champagne glass that once was in front of me.
Lee continues to watch me.
"Leroy, I seem to be catching you eye this evening. Never seen a girl in a red dress before?" I smirk smugly."Never seen one that wears it the way you do, Ruby."
"I'll take that as a compliment. Thank you." I thank the waitress as she places the large glass of water with lemon slices in front of me.
"You look beautiful tonight." Lee continues.
"Just beautiful?"
"If you want me to get into detail..." I nod and tilt my head to the side, challenging him. He chuckles putting down his silverware. "Well to begin with, I like the way the dress shows of you stunning body. The red of your dress and your blonde hair-"
"Adds a sexy glow to your skin." Gray interjects.
I smile placing a hand on his bicep. Boy, where they huge and strong! Our eyes meet and a smirk plays at his lips as if he knows what I'm thinking.
"I'm flattered. Jazzlin actually picked out this dress for me. You should be thanking her." I force the words out my mouth.
Jazz waves me off. "Nonsense. The dress was made for you."
Okay fine. Maybe I like her a little more. Just a little more.
"We all look beautiful." Demi said rolling her eyes.
I shrug refilling my glass with lemon infused water. "She not wrong."
For a while we're all quiet. All you can hear is sliverware, distant conversations and the soft music being played in the background.
"Leroy, my brother. Busy boy." Ronnie looks over at Lee and starts laugh. I immediately knew what this was about. I was hoping to get through dinner without anyone bringing up the hickeys all over Leroy. He hadn't even tried to hide them.
Gray slaps his back and Ronnie dubs him up as if he had just won the world cup.
Lee looks over at me and winks. I roll my eyes at him and his smile grows bigger.
The dinner went on...
