"Y-You c-can't- You can't stand me?"

She throws her phone on her lap and pulls her face mask down.

"I can't stand you whining for me to forgive you. You slept with another woman, Jade. How the fuck am I meant to forgive you?" Her eyes were glossy with tears. I feel awful for making her feel this way.

"And I'm so, so sorry, Leigh. It was a drunke-"

"Drunken actions are sober thoughts." She said coldly before picking up her phone and returning to the contact she was texting.

"Leigh. You know damn well I love you. I adore you. Who helped you off the streets?" she cringed. "Who took care of you when you needed help the most? Who has told you for the past 6 years that you're the only one I want?"

"Stop, Jade. That does matter now that you cheated on me with one of my best friends."

"Leigh,"
"God! I hate the fact I love you. I hate that I need you. I just- I just wish I could hate you! But I can't..."

I stared at her in complete shock. I couldn't believe what she said.

"You what?" I asked softly, wanting her to say it again. She sighed and bit her lip. I knew she felt guilty about what she said.

"I just meant-"
"Yeah, I get it, Leigh," I say coldly, staring out the window again, blocking everything out with my airpods. I needed to think of ways to get Leigh back. My tears rolled down my cheek: ones that I had been trying to withstand for ages had now gotten the best of me.

I feel someone tap my shoulder, and I turn to see Leigh staring at me. It had been an hour since we last spoke, and I could tell she had been crying for the entirety of the time.

"I didn't mean it."

"I get it, Leigh-Leigh. I'm a terrible person." She smiles softly at the nickname but shakes her head. She moves closer to me, and whispers.

"The thing, Jade, is that you're not. I fell in love with you for a reason. You're special to me. So special that you've now become a part of me. You help me forget about my past and look ahead to the future without even feeling guilty about it. Even though you made a mistake I don't care."

She kissed my lips softly, the kiss lasting for around 10 seconds.

"I do love you, Leigh."
"And I love you too. Now I actually want to enjoy this honeymoon. Once we land, we're back to normal as a true couple." She rests her head on my shoulder.
