Nagisa taught his lessons, the students listening quietly, somewhat interested. Fumei groaned at something on her laptop. "Uh, Fumei, could you be quieter, please? I can't focus," Nagisa asked politely. "You'll love," Fumei answered. "Nevermind then.." Nagisa sighed and continued on with his lesson.
"And then those Natives were forced to get on said boat, so they could go aaaaaall the way back to-" Nagisa was cut off by knocking at the door. 'Is that Karma?' He thought to himself. "Come in!" Nagisa shouted. The door opened and a woman walked in. Nagisa closed his eyes and smiled. "Hello! How can I help..." Nagisa opened his eyes, and they widened. "...You..." He finished.
"Who's that?" Kirasaya asked, confused at her teacher's horror. "So this is where you're at now, Nagisa," The woman said, looking around at the classroom. "M-mom..?" Nagisa's voice was weak out of shock and slight fear. "That's Nagisa~Sensei's mom!?" Shirota stood up out of his chair quickly.
"Nagisa~Sensei? So you're a teacher..?" Hiromi rested her hands on her hips. "U-uhm.. Yeah... I am..Well.., actually, I'm a teacher-in-training..." Nagisa looked down. "What's with the sudden change in demeanor?" Fumei asked, making Hiromi turn her attention to the teen. "Either way, you're clearly not doing a good job if they have their laptops out during class.." Hiromi scoffed. "If I had done that when I was a child, I'd get in so much trouble!" She laughed at herself.
"Mom.. Why are you here..?" Nagisa asked. "I got discharged," Hiromi stated, avoiding Nagisa's question. "So, did you miss me for the past three years? You hardly visited me at all." Hiromi placed her hand on her cheek and looked away sympathetically. Nagisa scoffed under his breath.
It seemed his mother was dead set on making his students think she was the victim. And unfortunately, it worked. "Wow, Nagisa~Sensei.. You didn't even visit your mom when she was in the hospital for three years?" Asui frowned.
"She wasn't in the hospital.." Nagisa whispered. "Really? Then where was she?" Satori asked. Nagisa didn't answer. "Mom.., Can you leave..? I was kinda in the middle of a lesson," Nagisa tried his best to make it seem like more of an order and not a request. "Oh, well, pardon me for wanting to see my son after three long years of separation!" Hiromi scoffed.
"Yeah, well you saw him, so leave!" Shirota scowled. He knew about Nagisa's mom. Well, kind of. Nagisa had told him a little about his mother back when he was basically shoved into his brother's gang. "Hey! What do you think you're doing!" Fumei whisper-yelled. "And why should I listen to you, little boy?" Hiromi asked.
"Because, if you don't, I could get you in a lot of trouble with a certain someone." Shirota removed his phone from his pocket and held it up threateningly. "That's enough." Nagisa interjected. "Mom, please leave. Shirota, sit down." Nagisa ordered, his voice becoming more demanding as he spoke to his student. Shirota scoffed and sat down quickly. "No, I don't think I will." Hiromi went behind Nagisa's desk, and sat in the chair.
"I swear to-" Nagisa cut himself off and inhaled deeply, to stop himself from loosing it. "Fine." Nagisa said. He continued with his lesson, frequently eyeing his mother. Everytime he looked, Hiromi was staring at him, as if she was looking for something. "That's not right that, Nagisa. Try again" Hiromi lectured. "Uhm, yes it is... This is American history, not Japanese history," Nagisa shook his head.
"We've done Japanese, Egyptian, and Indian history. Now we're doing American," Kirasaya chimed in. "At least you're managing your time right." Hiromi rolled her eyes. Nagisa's mother continued to interrupt Nagisa to tell him that he did something wrong. Most of the time, Nagisa was perfectly right. "No, the slaves were used for-" This time, Nagisa was the one who cut Hiromi off. "Mother, could you please refrain from telling me how to do my job?" Nagisa glared down at his mother.
