Cassandra POV
"I've been waiting for you to wake you up."
I smiled at Caroline. She turned her head to me immediately. "You stayed."
I shrugged with a smile. "As I promised, are you ready?''
She bit her lip nervously but nodded with renewed determination. She drank from a blood bag which was empty in a moment. She put it down and took a breath, looked around, and probably examined her surroundings.
"Can I?" she nodded, and I sat down and put a ring on her finger. She admired him glistening in the light. ''How do you feel?''
"I feel - I feel fine. Everything is more colorful and I see more details of the materials, I hear more than I should have, the water flowing through the pipes-and so much light so much of everything... '' she began to panic.
"Hey, hey, hey..." I tried to get her attention and I grabbed her cheeks lightly in my hands. "Everything will be fine. Can you hear me? Everything will be fine.''

"Are you okay with all these people?"
"Yes, yes."
"If anything, just say so."
She nodded and we continued walking, buying cotton candy, popcorn and cocktails. We tried a few attractions before, it was fun. I jerked lightly into her and pointed in the direction I was looking. "Look at Bonnie, another guy is flirting with her.''
I saw Jeremy with Damon. Caroline raised an eyebrow at my focus. "What if I talked to the boys..." and I walked over to them, Caroline still didn't want her friends to know what she had become. "Damon, honey, you're not threatening Jer, are you?"
He shook his head and patted his chest almost brotherly, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. "No way, we're just talking.I actually wanted to let you know that in the room under the bed you have a few thousand in your black bag, as part of the apology for killing you. So I'm kinda sorry. ''
''Black bag? Seriously? ''
"Is that all you got out of it?"
"You have to give him a moment, his brain is running slower." I grinned.
"Hey!"
"You two can handle this. See you later, bye!''
___
''Is he...?''
''It wasn't that kind of strength. It was more than human, if that makes sense.''
''What is up with that family? If they're not vampires then what the hell are they?''
