*DISCLAIMER*

*I wrote this chapter before the Black Widow movie and Haweye were out, so I'm sorry in advanced if the details are wrong. When I wrote this around May last year, I tried to make it as fitting as I could without us having the whole details of Natasha's and Clint's encounter when he was sent to kill her.

I know I could've fixed it, but I thought I should leave it like this because is a little more fitting to my story. So, excuse the errors in detail and if the plot is not similar to either the movie or the show.*

Without further ado, enjoy!

11th April 2007. 12:30. S.H.I.E.L.D HQ. New York City, NY.

The elevator rang, notifying Sophia she had arrived at the Director's floor. Stepping out of it, she took a look at her watch. On time, she thought as she walked through the doors of the office.

Nick had called her a day before telling her he had a mission for her and Clint, if she was up for it. She instantly accepted. It had been 3 months since her mum passed away and even though she still felt sad, she needed something to keep her distracted. She had been staying with her dad in Paris until a week ago, when he told her to go back to work, that he would be okay with Juliette and Laurie.

She hesitated, not wanting to leave him now, but he assured her he would be fine. After many protests from him, she finally accepted and came back to New York. Tony had stayed with them for a month, leaving Pepper to attend his things. The same day she arrived in Paris, Tony arrived a couple of hours later. Since then he didn't leave Sophia's side, nor did Happy. He had to go back to L.A to do some things, and Sophia understood, but he promised he would be in touch. He did.

Just like Michael. He couldn't stay in Paris for that long, but he called Sophia everyday and went every single weekend to be with her. Arriving Friday afternoon and leaving on Monday in the early morning. Sophia thanked him every time, also telling him he didn't have to come and go just for her, but just as the hard-headed man he was, he didn't listen. In those days and months, Sophia's feelings for Michael only grew and she was scared of how much they were growing and how fast. What she didn't know was that Michael was feeling the exact same things.

Now, three months later, she was back at work. It was her first mission after three months and she was ready to kick some bad guys ass.

When she walked through the doors, she saw Clint already there, in his suit and a bag in his hand. He turned to look at her and smiled.

-Welcome back, Night Angel.- Clint said as he nodded towards his friend.

-Good to be back, Hawkeye.- She said, winking and smiling at him.

-Are you sure you are up for this, Dumont?.- Nick asked while he looked at his niece. He knew she was strong, but also that she was human.

-I am. So tell us, what are we up against?.- Sophia said, smiling at Nick. The Director took a deep breath and proceeded to turn on his screens.

-A KGB agent went rogue a little while ago. She is from the Black Widow program, her name is Natalia Alianovna Romanova.- As Nick said this, Sophia straightened on her place and placed her focus on the screens. -She's been under our radar for a long time now. She is dangerous, and well trained, just like you Sophia. The thing is, she is a threat to everyone. And I don't want that, I don't want her near anything or any of us.- He said while turning to two of his three best agents.

-What do you need us to do, sir?.- Clint asked. But he and Sophia already knew what he wanted.

-I need you to take her out. Eliminate her.- He said with a serious tone.
